i know how ya feel about the statements about male degrading themselves but i don't think he meant it like that per say. a lot of the time when men associate love songs about their partner they usually (the good men that is) will feel they just don't deserve their partner. not that its a sense of shame but in a sense of gratitude and affection. it spurs them on to speak in their own of love language through acts of service and compassion. small examples like helping more around the house or flowers or little dinners. depends on the creativeness of the man but if woman know how to look for it and to guide it subtly it can really bring out some fun and enjoyable times between both of them. ;)
