This had every sign it was going to be "one of those" covers where they can barely play at the beginning, then it wasn't. Following the lyrics really made this stand out. Sometimes that doesn't work well, but it worked great the way it was done here. Of course the shredding was phenomenal too. Great Job!
I was thinking exactly the same. Even the vibrato is very very much like the YJM-master himself= awesome! Most copycats overdo it.Here the soundquality could be better, but this is whining on a high level.I whish I could play this good!
Hate to be that guy because this is so damn good, but I spotted the jump cut at 2:39 LoL. And even that edit was damn near perfect. The wrinkles in the t-shirt tail where the guitar is not touching it give it away.
Your picking technique and left hand technique is very good, but you need to work more on your timing (you're stressing a lot of these riffs and licks, even in the intro riff) and there are plenty of wrongly transcribed passages (including but not limited to the trills in the main riff).
