Christmas celebration fail for me (i must have missunderstood and therefore blame myself for not speaking and understanding portugeese better), I am working on the wall sockets in the techroom and my new door arrives.

Happy New Years! Nice door! Do you have to paint it, to protect the wood or could it have a clear glaze, if needed? With electricity, you’re almost there. 👏🏾

Happy new year to you too Nubi. The door will get the same treatment as the wood in the roof has gottren. Same color and product. My hope is the door will then have similar color as the roof wood.

I caught that foreign f bomb! 😂 Sorry you missed the fire/celebration. Looks like you’re making good progress with your renovations. For drilling the stones are you starting with a smaller pilot hole before using the size you need? This usually helps with accuracy. Happy New Year! All the best in 2024! ❤🎉

not sure what you mean with "foreign f bomb"? yeah my neighbour was at my place that same day and told me it starts at midnight, but when i was there fire had been lit adn the beer/bbq trailer was closed, i though i had missed it all. Nope no pilot holes. it is also about the shaper of the granite. The waterlevel spot at the right height sometimes get me only two screws of the 4 possible, because the outlet would be too far from the surface (and thus the long screws i have too short). But it is all fine and within a small margin. Not sure someone would notice without the laser level. All the best for 2024 and hope your well again (saw something about no video cause you guys were sick)

@@Quinta-Entre-Aguas Sorry f bomb means the swear word… interestingly it also starts with f in Portuguese. 😂 Glad you didn’t miss the celebrations then. Working with irregular shaped natural materials is definitely challenging. We’re feeling much better thanks! Somehow we both caught a nasty sinus cold. We spent 3-4 days in bed and it took another week before we felt normal again. We wish you a happy, healthy and prosperous 2024. Best of luck with your renovations! ❤️🥂🎉

@@notyouraveragegringos ah ok I know the two f words. I did miss the celebration as I thought it was over and only was told it restarted at 23:00 or so. Wish you also a healthy and happy 2024 ;-). I am wrestling with a bug for the last 4 weeks...should be better anytime now 🤞
