Encyclopedia sets sell to a variety of folks, as mentioned. Homeschoolers don't always partake in the internet, due to thoughts on "revisionist history". They like to go to the old sources directly. Like Candace said, people with impressive libraries use them for decor. Also TONS of prop companies and theater companies purchase for their productions.

I think some people who homeschool that don't want their children to be exposed to the internet would be a possible buyer for the encyclopedias. You would be surprised how many families are leaning that way now. Great sale for you guys.

If you ever see the brittanica 4th edition in green it has original articles by Einstein and other renowned scientists. Much more valuable than most.

I had to laugh when Candice did not want to wrap the doll in plastic. She was so sincere and concerned about the doll not being able to "breath" But if I'm honest I don't like wrapping dolls or plush in plastic either😅

My mom has a full World Book Encyclopedia set from 1990. We used it all the time as kids when we were playing Where In the World is Carmen Sandiego on the computer! haha It's so wild how differently things are and it wasn't all that long ago.

If that doll needs to breathe or makes an attempt to get out of the bag, that doll along with the bag is getting burned!! Lol. Btw, my local staples allows me to drop off ups packages there. I understand the doll thing. I worked at a university and cleaned in the nursing program location, the very realistic sim babies just laying on the bookshelf was always a little bit jarring for me. Just always seemed like the should have a little doll crib or something to keep them in...

The Wii's could be softmoded very easily to make Retro game emulation setups... It might be worth setting them up that way and the selling locally while keeping one yourself. The Wii's can handle everything from Atari up to Wii .... I have an external Hard Drive and 1 SD card handling it. Wii's don't sell for much anymore alone, but if you were to mod them etc you can easily fetch 100 to 150 depending how many ROMS you include with them.

I look back and think how did I ever manage being a flight attendant all those years because I never travel and now don’t even like leaving my home. Lonnie and Candice, I would like to hear your answer to this issue I've been having. More and more recently, buyers are sending offers and then following up with the ole, "Can you hold this for a few days...I get paid on Friday..." This has happened three times in the last week alone. What's your policy? Ebay has gotten better with automatically charging buyers when you accept an offer but some are still falling through the cracks. Do you work with people or just immediately cancel the order and repost when this happens? A few of these items have been higher value items so it's tempting to wait 3-4 days to get the money because who knows when it'll sell again. But I've also been burned before with people ghosting me and never paying. One guy had a long story and kept sending daily updates about all these reasons why I needed to keep waiting on him. What would ebay say if I canceled the order? Do I need to wait the old policy of 3 days to see if they pay and then report them for non payment? Thanks for your help.

Was going to say this a few videos ago, but forgot. But, in some areas, like where I live, UPS/FedEx are Not an upgrade. If it's the weekend they don't deliver, if they are too busy they don't come into town and deliver, if the weather man suggests rain they don't deliver. I understand why sellers do it, so I don't bother them with it, but it always sucks when you expect USPS, only to see UPS and know it's now going to take twice as long for the item to arrive :(

I was watching one of your past videos & someone asked how do you lock the “sold” when scanning items. I just found how. After you scan a bar code, you go to “filters” select “sold” & scroll down to “custom”. Then you can select “lockable filters”.

great idea on custom sku for encyclopedias. Candice adds so much. Where I am from we would say you definitely married up. Thank you for sharing all the content. I am a few years in so I dont watch all the time. but when we resize boxes we call it "Lonnying the box" or "I gotta go Lonnie this box"

So can I ask, is it normal to have week day garage sales? Isn’t that liming as most folk work M-F. Here in the UK, most car boots etc are on weekends. I’m just curious as to why.

Hi, The last few years in my area of southwest US yard sales have started running Wednesday - Sunday. Years ago it was hard to find a sale on a Friday. Maybe with more people selling online they are able to source more weekdays.

It varies by area. Some places have sales on Wednesdays. I think it's kinda weird too, but it be how it be.
