There is one additional thing you should watch that is not in the main playlist. An official music video titled "Just Look my Way", it is in my opinion the best song of the entire franchise and features Stolas singing his heart out. It's not strictly necessary to the story, but it adds additional context and some very powerful symbolism. As for timing, storywise it fits in just before s2e8. Additional notes, the Ars Goetia family in the old "real" demonology books this series draws from has 72 members, so yes Stolas has plenty of siblings. His father King Paimon is the defacto ruler of hell in this series. Lucifer and the other sins are above him, but they are largely tied up in their own projects and uninterested in actually keeping things running. Paimon, along with Blitz's father Cash Buckzo, are both voiced by the VA for Jafar from Disney's Alladin. All members of the imp circus seem to have had that forehead symbol. It's been speculated that it's a mark of ownership or fellowship. If there's an official explanation, I'm not aware of it

With fathers like those, it's no wonder why Blitzo and Stolas care so much for their own daughters.

Someone said that this episode "Changes everything while changing nothing", and I think is the perfect way to describe it. We already had bits and pieces of the story, but now that we know more about Blitzo, Stolas and Stella as a whole, we can see A LOT of scenes from past epidodes in a new light.

The voice actor for Stolas' shitty Dad, Paimon (another member of the Ars Goetia), is Jonathan Freeman. He also plays Blitzo's shitty Dad, Cash Buckzo. He is probably most famous for playing Jafar in Disney's "Aladdin", who as far as I know was never a Dad, but undoubtedly would also have been a shitty one if he had managed it...

I've always thought that the symbol on their heads was their circus brand, but it hasn't actually been brought up to my knowledge. I love your edits so much! Like at 7:50 were Blitz came in all teary eyed over the hellhound guard calling him nasty, and Stella falling at 9:48! They go by so quickly that they're easy to miss but are sooo funny!

Blitz and Fizz are not brothers. Believe me... they aren't. BUT... Blitz still has a sister you have yet to meet. 12:10 Don't worry, nothing was wrong with momma. The dad was gaslighting his son into stealing for no reason other than for the dad's own gain. And with a parent like that, he definitely did that sh*t more than once.

you hit it on the head how this episode really shows that Blitzo has a history of just using stolas. Of course blitzo likely doesn't realise it, let alone how much power he has over stolas to do this and get away with it. and yah stella's ALWAYS hated stolas, but she only wants to kill him now because his sleeping with blitzo which was relatively more recent. Its implied but not yet stated that she's trying to kill him for ruining their status, or just feeling insulted that her 'husband' would sleep with an imp and thus make her look bad (or she jsut find it personally insulting in general). there has been discourse regarding this portrayal of Stella, how it makes her one dimensional and justifies Stolas and thus takes away any complexity from his 'sins'. Personally, I feel like this is perfectly in keeping with what little we saw of Stella and doesn't contradict anything. Plus we were SHOWN she hired striker to murder her husband, which tells me she was NEVER meant to be sympathetic or complex in any way, she's jsut a selfish bitch.

I find it incredibly sad that when Stella was about to hit Stolas, he was ready for it and caught her hand. Just how many times had she done that for him to develop the instinct to catch her in the act?

Paimon, stolas's father, if we're going by the real life demonology books, which viv seems to be relying on them as much as possible, has sired over 70 kids. So, yeah, that's a lot of names to try to keep track of.

Fizz isn't related to Blizz, which you'll find to be a relief when you learn more about their history. They just worked together in Cash's (Blitz' dad) circus. Blitz does have a sister, who you see in the background poster in previous episodes when the two had an act Stella is trying to have Stolas killed because he publicly embarrassed her by having an affair with an Imp and wanting a divorce

Ah yes, the episode were we learn just how messed up Stolas is and why he's so into his relationship with Blitz. 2:48 *Dio voice* You were expecting a Blitz story, not no, it was a Stolas story! Well, okay, it's also got a fair amount of Blitz in it, but still. 3:29 Ah, proof that Stella was always a bitch and it wasn't just Stolas cheating on her that made her that way. 3:49 Yep. And he actually went in person! Stolas doesn't exactly have good examples of proper parenting. 4:28 Young Blitzo is adorable. And he's already got his horse thing! 4:50 That is Blitzo's dad and the owner of the circus. Blitz and Fizz aren't siblings, but they are close friends at this point. 9:10 The one bit of the pilot that is fully canon is a half-naked Blitz dropping down on Stella's tea party and apologizing for fucking her husband before running off with the book. 10:25 This is the same night as the date. Probably around the same time that Blitz is in the party getting wasted. 12:27 Really, they both need to get their shit together. They're both in this relationship for all of the wrong reasons and neither one really knows what the other wants or needs.
