Ashita no joe taught me that burning your flames of passion till the point of no return can be the greatest purpose.(Which perfectly sets with the tone of boxing where cte is a possibility for every fighter who steps in the ring.) Everyone of us has passions that they burn their fire towards everyday- but to Burn Your Fire So Bright That Only White Ashes Remain.... That's A Glory that only very few can experience- A happiness of perishing and leaving this existence after feeling more Alive than anyone else on this earth could hope to feel. There can be 2 ultimate happinesses of life- With Family-Passing down your dreams and sprouting seeds of purpose in others. Or To Truly Feel Alive By Yourself Instead Of Living Via Connections With Others To Assure You Of Your Own Existence. To live and burn for your own purpose and passion- True Happiness within yourself without seeking connections with others. Joe is a man who had zero connection with the first one but the second one he is truly the epitome of it.
joe's got a point, it may not fit to noriko's liking of his own youth but joe's fire in the ring gave him a sense of accomplishment that he wasnt able to get before he got into boxing
The desire of the point of no return is your goal: to burn with white ashes so brightly for yourself and the opponent whom you respect and he respects you, here it is
I feel like this could've been turned into an edit, if you cut off the part where he starts talking about Carlos, and instead shifted the scene to the last, where Joe burned his fire, until only pure white ash remained, and cut to different moments in the anime. That's my opinion at least. Regardless of that, it's a beautiful scene.
this is really motivational, even more motivational than telling yourself that you must win, this urges anyone seeing this to try and give their best, loved it❤!
I just realized in Anime, the only woman that can fully understand a partners joy of fighting is Keiko of Yu Yu Hakusho. 😂 On a serious note. Woman will not understand the "thrill" involve in fighting.
