This video and song is dedicated to our dear friend and leader, Gerald Leissner zt”l.
Gerald was a shining light to our community and a pillar to our school throughout its growth in the early years. For generations, no matter what challenges arose, Gerald supported and built Yeshiva College. May his legacy live on.

This most beautiful and moving piece of the Haggadah has captured the hearts of generations of Jews. It is a reflection of the fortitude of the Jewish People to build through the generations with a deep sense of optimism and hope, no matter what difficulties we encounter.
Through our belief in Hashem and our covenant with Him we have miraculously lasted thousands of years and shaped the face of human destiny.
The essential key of our continued existence is our Holy Torah. This is alluded to in the word, “Vehi”, as each letter represents another component of our Torah.
VEHI = VAV + HEI + YUD + ALEPH
VAV = 6 = Six Tractates of Mishna (Oral Law).
HEI = 5 = Five Books of Moses
YUD = 10 = Ten Commandments.
ALEPH = 1 = Our Belief in One G-d
Yeshiva College prides itself on being a campus committed to Torah learning and living. Our commitment to Torah is the engine of all that we do. Just as the Torah has sustained Bnei Yisrael for thousands of years, so too it energizes us every single day.
Featured in this video are scenes from our daily Night Seder learning where Rabbis, fathers, sons, friends and alumni come together every day to learn and grow in Torah.
