This was just a first look but i agree with you regarding demonstrating the sound,maybe one for the near future especially now I have the facility to record the differences.
I didn’t do a follow up video with the mic but when i was using it i didn’t have any complaints. It has quite a full sound but unsure how it compares to the m70. I will do a test at some point but for some reason i have been using the hand mic for the last few months.
You are supposed to talk into this mic from the top, not the sides right? I thought you were supposed to talk into the "front" like most condenser mics, but when you took off the windscreen it looks like you are supposed to talk into the top like an SM57 dynamic mic. Does anyone know? Talk into the top, or front?
@@ozzcows That is a very good question as it looks strange in design but if you look closer the mic element is in the front and very directional. I run this with a lot of gain as i hate bending over to talk into it which then invites side noise. Ideally it needs to be on a boom and directly in front of you. Maybe i should do it few audio demos. Edit: Just noticed i was supposed to do a few voice demos a while back for a viewer so i will organise something.
I just bought a Rode Podmic for my FTDX10 and I'm buggered if I can't get it to sound anything like the standard mic.. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated...
I was tempted to try one of those Pod mics too but i would probably use a bit of gain from my Focusrite interface that i use for my videos or something similar..Maybe a future video.
Well I bought the tdx10 and even the aoc monitor lol but I went for the m 70 mic....dint know how it soas I ain't got my ham license so not used it 😂 the radio looks great but just finding my way round it
Well spotted…The Rode Cable from the Mic can be sensitive around my Key light when i stupidly have to close. As the camera is used for other purposes the cable is always moved about.It has happened once before but i got away with it and i am sure it was louder. I was hoping no one spotted it haha
@@gtretroworld Да будет интересно!!! ))) У меня есть М-1 , но он настольный ! Я устал постоянно наклонятся к микрофону . Хочу микрофон на пантографе . Если у M-90 нету усилителя внутри - то это плохо . У него тогда будет малая чувствительность .
@@_devjatov_ It has more gain than the hand microphone but on tests you still need to be quite close to the m90. Definitely a improvement on the hand microphone though.
