Wow..!! Awesome job sir 👏. I enjoyed the entire video, I'm gonn do the same thing as you did with mine. Thank you for taking the time to make this video.
I will be picking my BlackPak up tomorrow from my local kayak shop. I ordered the NuCanoe hinges and already have the bungie I can't wait to make the same mods you did. We used to call it stealing ideas seamlessly now it's "re-application" LOL. Thanks for the great ideas and informative video.
Hahahahal Yo that’s awesome! Glad you got some info out of my video! Good luck on the reapplication! Lol tight lines my friend!! Thanks for your support!
I understand, I can appreciate your position; it’s expensive, however understand, it holds a lot of tackle hand picked by me. Expensive tackle. I dropped a 13ft ladder on this box by accident. A ladder that was hung from the ceiling in my garage. It Bounced off the lid of that box…Not a scratch! I am not Kidding. It is a tough box. What’s your tackle worth to You? It’s my go to box! No Joke! It’s Worth it! Trust me. Thank you for your comments and views I appreciate it.
Yo bud! I am trying! They got everything shut down. Nock is starting to warm up so I hope to have a clip up soon. Hope you and your family’s are well! We are doing good. See you at the Y soon! Thanks for watching!
Thank you Chris, I have seen that configuration from other anglers. I prefer leaving it the way it is. Although it’s a little inconvenient to get those boxes in and out. God for bid I roll over those boxes would not blow the lid open and cause me to loose tackle. So I leave it be. But I appreciate you input. Thanks for watching!
Love the video man. I cut the top of my box where you mounted the rails. I did this so my 3700 boxes drop straight in without tilting them. Other than that my box will be identical to yours. 👍🏻👍🏻
Great upgrades but FYI, the heat gun doesn’t help the adhesive stick, just the opposite happens. We use a heat gun to loosen adhesives to remove adhesives.
I find once you loose the adhesive up with heat, then let it cool a bit the decals stick better, and yes I agree you can use heat to loosen the adhesive to remove decals as well. Thanks for your input and as always I appreciate your views and support! Tight lines
I am having trouble attaching the links you asked for, my apologies. I can tell you the I got the hinges from Nucanoe’s website #2915-BlackPak Hinges, under boat parts The Side-mount rod tubes I got from Amazon, side mount rod tube black (BLP-AC-0002) The Bungee kit I also got from Amazon YYST Sit- in Kayak Bungee rigging kit 8feet black with screws and rivets I hope this helps, again I apologize about not adding these to the description, I will continue to try and figure out the issue. As always thank you for watching.
The BlackPak is sorta rectangular. So it can be flipped. There are holes for rod holders in the front and back as well as the sides. I hope that helps?
Tough question!! Well like a tool, both crates have their place. In moving water like stream or current I don’t want to have to get up to access my tackle, V crate for sure. I just turn slightly and pop the strap and I can access the Plano boxes. Easy and quick. Fishing small ponds and lakes I have never been too BlackPak. I won’t have too worried about getting up to access tackle and gear, I can store more tackle, carry more rods, and add more attachments like Gopros and other items. If I have to choose, between the two, BlackPak. Thank you for watching I hope I helped you out. Tight lines
I’m conflicted about this video. I don’t know if I should like it because the mods are spot on what I want to do to mine or dislike it because now I have to round up the parts and modify my black pack. Oh well, guess I will figure it out later, I have some work to do! 👍
Thank you for watching, the only place you can purchase them is on Nucanoe.com item number #2915 BlackPak hinges. I have tried to link them in the description but have no success
This is the gear track I used on the box, www.yakattack.us/GTSL90_BK12_p/gtsl90-bk12.htm. GTSL90 GearTrac 12'' Black (GTSL90-BK12) Thanks for watching!
Fishing W Cp! Holy smokes!! That sucks! Wow! I dropped a large aluminum ladder on mine, thankfully just a scratch. I am sure if you contact YakAttack they could maybe send you a replacement!
Are you going to get the new BlackPak Pro? Heads up, the Gridloc holes are not compatible with any current Yak Attack products. Had I known this, I wouldn't have bought it. :(
Thanks for the heads up, that sucks!! I don’t have any plans to upgrade at this time. But I do like what they did with the new black pak! Thanks for watching bud
@@MarkPolsky I do like it overall but, YA CS related if you drill any new holes in it you void the lifetime warranty. That's a big fail from a DIY perspective. :(
