I just purchased this Yakima GrandTour 16 box yesterday for my Tesla Model 3. While driving, you can see the front end of the box and while going down the road, the front end of the box is bouncing up and down about 1 inch or so. Is this normal? I drove for 150 miles on freeways after purchasing this box and it seems to excessively shake up and down. After I stopped, I tested things out and it appears that the mounting points that affix to my rack are the flex points in this cargo box system due to the fact that they can slide back and forth. Those sliding tracks seems to be where all the movement comes from. Is there any way to stiffen this up or reduce the amount of flex in this GrandTour 16 Cargo Box?

I’ve been searching everywhere for an answer. I have a Yakima rocket box pro. Is there any way to secure a snowboard inside? In this video there seems to be a special mount or something. Any help would be appreciated!

You can use the hook mounts inside the box and tie it down with your own tiedowns, ropes, etc!
