I just imagine Nishiki walking down a street by a karaoke, hearing Kiryu blasting it inside and just taking off his jacket and running upstairs to sing on the background
Honestly I don't know who the mastermind was that decided to put a karaoke minigame in the yakuza series but I just want him/her to know that I'm forever in their debt.
It was from kenzan or ishin inspired. You had a waterfall minigame to distance yourself from earthly desires and it was an rhythm game. Similar to karaoke
@@cleverman383 Yeah, although it's a huge spoiler for Yakuza 3 (basically if you wanna know, he gets shot by a minigun and it's assumed he's dead, but in fact he miraculously survived and was in a coma for the next couple of years, reason why he was missing until Y7).
Yakuza is a game that i got like every single emotion out of it. Sadness, fustration, happiness, anger, enjoyment, wtfs, and most important of all: Curling into a ball because u cant take the pain even though you said you were ready. There are like 1 maybe 2 others that did the same for me.
Kiryu: "All Tojo clan's family are looking to find and kill me. I need to get to safety" A few moments later Also Kiryu: 🎤"breaking the law, I'm breaking the world...kowase...."
Yakuza 0 was the first game in the series I have played. After completing this karaoke segment during the prologue, I then proceeded to buy every Yakuza game that I could.
not exactly similar to your case but after playing around halfway of the story I KNEW this is a new franchise that I want to dive in as hard as I possibly can so I bought 0 to 6; at the time I was playing 0 on Xbox Game Pass (also a shout out to GP, thank goodness for that amazing service for introducing this franchise to me otherwise I probably would've never picked it up)
twitchykun Just finished 0 about a week back and started Kiwami after. Even though I was generally aware that something really bad happened between Kiryu and Nishiki in the first game, I never expected it to be that bad. Hit me harder than a brass knuckled gut punch.
This really illustrates the close and unbreakable bond between Kiryu, Nishiki, and Kashiwagi. Nothing will ever come between them, and that’s a beautiful thing.
thats true for me ogita was pretty easy beat him on my 2nd try but then again I had tons of practice and experience by then BUT THE DANCING GODESS! OMFG NEARLY BROKE MY LOVE FOR THE GAME! till I spontaneously got a big high combo and it never stopped plus all three disco fevers succsesful I beat her by miles I still kinda think it was a fluke but who cares I fucking won and that's all that mattered to me by that point lol
It's either all up to luck (well, it defintely is) and training. I did Ogita first and was pulling my hairs out in frustration, but once I did the Dancing Goddes I beat her on the second go.
This was my first yakuza. I only bought it because it wss on sale for $25 new about 3 months prior to kiwami. Im about to finish 6 and man this series was a fun ride. I kinda wanna go back and replay zero now.
One day my friend was playing this game I've heard this song and said: Me: what is this? You dont have enough manga and anime so now it's time for games? Friend: shut up and listen. Me: I dont like this janre of music you know that... *5 minutes later...*
In my 6 years of streaming, my favorite stream was getting drunk and doing nothing but playing this on Karaoke for 2hrs straight. Entire comment section was KOWASEEEEEEEEEE
@@justarandombluebird8222 twitch name is same as my youtube one. I'm streaming trails in the sky currently though. I started Yakuza 0 last may so for my 1 year anniversary I'll be playing it again next month
@@Bedhead_Brodi my ps4 isn't hooked up currently, but I'd bring it out of retirement for a Karaoke stream. I have ishin on PC so I've just been doing that for Karaoke time recently
My favorite part in this is Kashiwagi playing keyboard in the background. Not only is it hilarious, but it shows how highly Kiryu thinks of him and how close they are.
I bought this game for £5 on sale for the PS5. That feels almost criminal. This game was a damn masterpiece. And now I've just bought Kiwami for £4. I can't tell if I'm simply getting lucky with sales or if this wonderful franchise is simply painfully undervalued.
I think there's always a yakuza game on sale. I got 8 games for around £22. Kiwami and Like a Dragon were free ps+ games at one point and I got 0 for £4 and the remastered versions of 3-5 bundled together for £10 and then the sales changed and 2 and 6 were on sale for the same price as 0. Like a Dragon Ishin was on sale for £35 and the sales changed and then it was on sale for £29.99. They're super pushing the current games to get western folks into the series to boost sales for Gaiden and Infinite Wealth. And it has worked imma buy both of those games full price when I finish the games I'm on now.
I'm afraid that Yakuza games, at least the ones before Yakuza 0, were not very well known, not over here at least. I blame the poor marketing they did with the first game, where they tried to advertise it as a "Japanese GTA".
Can I hear it for my man kashiwagi in the background on that piano, one hand behind his back like the president from monsters vs aliens, and even in a fantasy he still dresses sharp as a tack
After I bought the game I thought it was good and interesting, then I played this karaoke song and saw the animation. I knew instantly this game is going to be amazing.
I love how the backing vocals were actually done by Nishiki’s VA, if you listen to the version of Judgement with Nishiki singing, you can clearly hear the backing vocals are done by Kiryu in that version
