Yey! Finally! This is the first game OST cover on this channel! ❤
To game OST fans, I promise there'll be more in the future. I'm a gamer, too. Hahaha! But only casual.
I'm currently addicted to this song, "Baka Mitai". I've been looping it for almost two weeks now, I think? And I don't think I'm stopping anytime soon. I'd like to think I've listened/watched all the versions available on RU-vid. Hahaha!
There are three versions that inspired me to finally sing a cover of this, too. The first one is the Sky Finance version by Shun Akiyama. I love his voice! It's my favorite among the official ones. The second version is a cover by my friend, Jazz Rosin. I like the emotion she put into the song. Her vibrato sets the mood differently. I think it became more intense. ❤ The final one, is a cover by Shannon. It's the one that made me finally say, "I must sing this sing this song, too!".
I know this is different from what I'm usually singing on this channel but GRRRAAAHH O_O! I hope you'll love this song as much as I do. It has that classic love song vibe. I can't get enough of this! 💖💖💖

@@modernmiderntown3241 i watched a cover right before this that i would call more a modern take on the classical tone. The woman in the video before did a good job but a lot of her emotions sounded younger, more childish. This video from Vocapanda is more of the rich, soulful sound i would expect from a Japanese singer in the 70s and 80s. Specifically those kinda lounge singers.

This is the best female cover I've heard, not covered with cute anime voice but a real grown woman voice, I'm hearing a female yakuza here. I love how you changed the lyrics to from "otoko" (Man) to "onna" (Woman), a token of big appreciation from a Japanese person passing by. :)

Shun Akiyama/his VA undoubtedly did the best male version, but your version is not only the best female version (yes, there aren't many right now, but even when more women will cover this, yours will still stand on top), it actually rivals his. Breathtaking cover!

Your comment touched my heart. Really. Shun Akiyama's version of "Baka Mitai" is my favorite male version as well. And to know that someone actually thinks my cover is on par with his, is really heartwarming because I really love this song not because of the memes, but the overall composition of it. Of course, I love the memes, too! Hahaha! But I decided to make a serious cover instead of a funny one. I'm still far from getting over this song and I'm planning something special if ever I reach 4k subscribers soon.

0:44 I always thought it was the person singing saying that they can't even say "I love you" to the person they are refering. I know next to nothing about japanese, but since I've seen so many different translations, I got a bit confused. If you could clear it up for me, I'd really appreciate it :D I saw your duet and saw that you changed some lyrics to fit better with the perspective you wanted to go with, but I think that was just changing "man" to "woman", but I'm not too sure. Love your version, by the way! Absolutely agree with the people saying that you should voice a female protagonist in a future Yakuza game!

Actually, It's hard to be sure about who is talking about who. But according to the website where I got the English translation, the lyrics are super feminine, but is originally sung by the guys. 😅 So it's possible to switch some pronouns around with the I’s and You’s and you can probably get similar song. Knowing that, I decided to experiment a bit while doing the subtitling for this video and even got around having fun arranging a duet version. I hope you could also check it out if you haven't yet. 🐼 ✨
