There is something worth investigating in the magical synchronicity that's going on with my Anita Goa Journey. This is the first time I brought a cup of tea to my "yoga room" - yes! my son's room is officially my yoga room since he moved out. So it happened that today I am exhausted and will switch the pm practice for some philosophy and what did you do? Suggest a cup of tea!!! need I say more? The Aparigraha resonated very close to me because I had given up on trying to achieve the crow pose. I just accepted it wasn't for me. My arm hurts too much, I'm afraid of breaking my nose on the floor and it's not a charming pose so I let it go since about 30 days ago. For my surprise, yesterday I was able to get into the pose for 2 seconds! Just when I was not even considering it anymore. Detachment worked! This is a great journey indeed.
I am on my bf's account lol, but I just really appreciate this video and had to leave a comment. Like most women, I am heavily resonating with Ahisma and not participating in mental self harm. Thank you!
I really enjoyed watching this, I had my organic detox tea and even took some notes (: Can't wait to hear about the other Yamas (: I definitely still need to work on Ahimsa, I think that's my biggest issue - not towards others, but towards myself. I have a very negative opinion about myself and I can't seem to let go of my past, so I should probably look into it. Specially because I've been getting into yoga these past few months and I enjoy it so much that I would very much like to teach it one day (: Thank you!
hopefully your tea didn't get cold during the talk like mine LunaLoona20 i have to practice drinking while talking. ha ha ha. love that you are taking notes and interested in learning, and becoming a teacher :-)
See how you can practice ahimsa yourself and (as best as you can; over time) distance yourself from the people. I know, not easy and it depends on how close they are to you and how/why you need to deal with them. But I believe when you become aware of how harmful it is to you and you ️practice the opposite change happens for the better. You know what you need to do in your situation. Trust your self and be honest with yourself (satya). All the best. Hope this is helpful. 🙏💕
I simply enjoy your sharing with us... it is of such great help, for the practice. I notice that I tend to not-respect on all of them, especially to Aparigraha, when I am fully caught up in my mind, but also been able to release and let go at times. Having this remember is great Thing... Many Thanks, and look Forward for the next VIDEO: NIYAMA.
Thanks for this but I haven't come across one soul (who especially comes to learn Ashtanga from Kpjayi mysore) who looks beyond the third limb which is asana.. Ashtanga yoga since the late 60s when it was exposed by that Belgian to the rest of the western world, it's just become a thing that's broken into series of asanas, about authorisation and certification on these series, of how well u can jump on the mat blah blah.. and no wonder ashtanga has lost all its meaning. And I'm afraid even KPJAYI teaches anything beyond asanas (after all, all those practitioners are only interested in putting asana pics n videos on social media n nothing else). Had all the 8 limbs been religiously followed by the teachers here ashtanga yoga (especially in kpjayi) wouldn't have been a luxury to Indians (quite evident from the fact that there's only one certified indian and she too is a NRI)
I enjoyed this video a lot !! Today the yama who resonate the most for me is satya with this notion of self respect... A tool that I often use and help me a lot, is to put a hand on my heart and say "if I really respect myself how this situation resonate in me" and I'm often surprise by the result, totally different from my first answer... Love your explanation, this way to apply the yogic philosophy in a day to day life ! Thanks Anita, your are precious ! Love
Anita, this is Lorrissae and yes i practice for 5 to 8 years already yoga. the eight limbs of yoga are new knowkedge. it is important for me to understand ahimsa and i am curious how the asana practices effect us at the digestion level at the third eye at the heart. how which ones can be access to healing for specific reasons of wellness. there is so much in yoga. i think that all teachers have much to offer. i believe strongly that it is so important to follow the routine from a qualified certified yoga insteuctor. because the transitions from asana to asana. your training as with massage theraoy itys sacred. i am LMT. i very much resonate with your teaching. you have a very special gift every time i get to practice on your posted video. so grateful and many others are with me on that. will you email your froends link for the food vegan combination question from before. that didnr come through in case you had sent it. wasnt sure how to ask Marin a question. Namaste Anita be well, so much appreciation for you from me. the journey of becoming Lorrissae is one that has recently been mine to acknowledge and have conscious awareness of. from age 1 i have always felt i am a woman. i always see myself from the inside as other women i have admired. never as i look to others on the outside. thanks for support and caring your kind and such a beautiful creature. be well. Lorrissae
+Steve Wallschlaeger Wonderful to hear, Lorrissae. By mistake I wrote ‘J’ instead of ‘L’ on previous reply. If you go to goodeatings.com you’ll find all info on Malin and can send her message through website or ask a question under any of her videos on RU-vid or on Instagram. She is very good at replying and cares a lot. All the best and keep being you! 🙏💗👍
Thank you so much , between my amazing teacher and now discovering your videos , the yamas are not as daunting , as I had once perceived, whew , what a relief lol Namaste thank you again
Lady, I think you're nuts. Thank you. I enjoyed this, it's nice to hear the yamas broken down in a simple, straight forward, coffee shop kinda way. Much appreciated.
