Yamaha 25 hp four stoke Outboard unboxing and first start 

Not to brag about Yamaha , But I do own a 7.5 h.p. outboard .My late father bought new from the dealer at the time of sale. It was advertised on a float in a parade in town. People were not to happy to try it cause it was not in water .just mounted on a boat and was running for all hear it. very low noise as well. But still no takers. So my father bought for to use on the river with a 10 foot fiberglass boat. It work ok and still like today . that about the 70 s . Still quite the little out board motor .

thanks for showing the oil part hahah was reading the manual but came on youtube instead hahaha gonna go break in my brand new motor starting tomorrow

Wish someone did video comparison with all the 4 strokes 25 hp outboard motors all tests done same boats and same amount of weight in each boat and do long distance trip test for to see how many miles or km's can one 5 gallon gasoline tank will take you I looked around on here so Noone

I have a random question, what is the total length of this motor from bottom to the top of the tiller while folded up? The reason I ask is because I want to see if it would fit in the back of my suburban. Thank you. Great overview of the motor.

Which aluminum boat to you suggest to couple with this engine? A G3 14x42? What the best combination?

My

Picked up one of these motors in a boat package Monday, put it in the water Tuesday, motor ran for 20 minutes and died. Made it back to the dock on idle speed, took it back to the dealer and they are putting a another new motor on. Should get it back Thursday, will report back on Friday. Very disappointed.
