Yamaha 9.9D outboard gets a speed test on a Yam 257STI. i love old 2 stroke outboards and keeping them alive is fun in the making!

Why does it spray so much water? Is the prop too high above? The boat seems to run a bit shaky

Okay My 310cm RIB seems to run a lot more calm, you can pull full throttle for hours

Heisann, jeg er ikke god på 4t trimming. Men noen på RU-vid har sikkert svaret. Har hørt at disse muligens kan bli 20hk med skifte av forgasser

seems like a fair speed i have an older 8hp yamaha the a version, and it sometimes spikes up to 30kph me alone last owner said it did 35kph but he was lying

I got the yamaha F20 on a 3.6 meter rubber boat so that is really not that fast mate. I do over 50 km/hour ...

@@dsholden1 do you find your engine heavy to handle ? How heavy is yours. Mine is 60 kg, is very strong for the boat, will make boat fly on the water but is a bit heavy and I’m not a skinny person.

@@mihairadupop2491 it's far lighter than that, it's 40 kg i believe. It feels 40, and on off sailboat to dinghy can be a challenge since ding has inflatable floor and not rib.
