Conmect atmos to rear surround & change the setting from the receiver. You can use 7.1 or 5.1.2 as atmos. In that case rear surround will convert to atmos. You gotta change the setting from the receiver

Press the surround button & select dolby pl2 & also check the audio output setting of the tv.

No, distance helps the unit determine timing. when the sound plays from each speaker to ensure it sounds like it’s coming from the same source. the levels are a separate but equally important setting.

Reset the receiver & try. If it still doesnt work then maybe the remote is ok but the receivers remote sensor gone bad

Selecting large speaker provides more bass to the channel speakers & subwoofer would just support for vibration feel. But if you select large speaker but use small speakers. Then you will have low bass. Because subwoofer will work at very low frequency

Yes you can use both the subs

It takes few seconds. Thats not a problem

Reset the receiver. Check your connections. Select sub as yes.

I have done all this. I now have the ARC working on Receiver and TV.... Just the Subwoofer is not working. I took it to get looked at now. Hopefully not too expensive to repair@@technoboy-allinOne

Check the connection. Set it to stereo mode ,& try playing

Need more info about the problem. Anyway Select the stereo mode & you will have front 2 channel working only alone with subwoofer unless you select the subwoofer as none from the settings

Sorry for Late reply. as I have checked all these speakers are large speakers. can be used as front speakers only. Receivers minimum impedance is 6 ohm. So You must use speakers with 6 ohms or more. so you can choose any pair from the list and use them as front speakers. use small speakers as surround. also you can use one of them as center speaker too.

Subwoofer? Some setting may have changed. Check the frequency, maybe reduced to the lowest or maybe the sub level has been reduced

Set the subwoofer vol at full. Then adjust the level from the receiver

Mine is htr-2067. Its better to see the display om tv. There you can see in details.

Subwoofer trim enhances the low frequencies by avoiding overlap with the front speaker output.

I kept it at default setting

Ton control is for bass treble

Select front as large speaker & decrease the sub frequency to 60hz. Then till 60hz all frequency will be on front speakers

Adjust all the speaker volume properly & check the sub frequency

You need to connect tv hdmi arc to receivers hdmi input

I have yht 196 model… no sound when played 5.1 content of netflix amazon prime etc. from sony google tv…tried hdmi cable in input and output both slots… sound comes in output slot only and that too only for non 5.1 content… if i use firestick in input and output hdmi to non smart tv.. it works fine… any srtup to be changed or it will not work with 5.1 content

if you have a hdmi output on your receiver use that into the tv....and then select the source to whatever hdmi input you have connected on the tv...then press set up and you should be able to see it on the tv. cheers

Check the speakers & connections using a 9v battery. Then use the test tone in the receiver

In large speaker setup most of the low frequency go to the front channels & sub deliver the lowest frequency

Only pure direct is working? No bass treble maybe. It means the logic board has some kind a problem.. get it repaired or replaced.

If 160hz was best then they didnt need to provide option to select. It depends on the peoples choice. & also different to hear for music, movies etc. For movies 80hz is better or 60. You will have a vibrating heavy bass like movie theater. Whatever frequency you select thats the entry for sub. & till that its for the channels. Hope you understood.

Crossover is based on your home theatre speaker capabilities. Most speakers (including towers up into the thousand dollar range) prefer to be set as small with a crossover around 80Hz to the subwoofer. It can be room dependent but to my ear I prefer frequencies below 80Hz to be played by the subwoofer. It helps free up your speakers to play higher frequencies with more clarity too (they’re not busy playing lower frequencies). If you prefer 90Hz that’s into the psychoacoustics field and I’d say just listen to whatever you think sounds best/ provides most clarity.

What kind a help?

Its for display purpose. Connect it to a tv & open the menu. You can see all detail menu on the tv. It helps you setup the receiver properly as you can see all on tv which is not possible on the receiver's small display.
