Blasters are rad but never really seem to scream out like a 125 or 250 2 stroke mx, even when pinned. Not too much of a powerband on her. Looks fun as hell to ride though. Yall should save up for a banshee and cr500 and give the neighbors aneurisms. Now thatd be some shit!!
The Gasman yep, had a lil Dinli 90cc 2 stroke ATV as a kid on my grandparents farm, it was oil injection tho i remember it sounding and accelerating a lot like this thing. Still looks fun as all hell though. I know you want a cr500 man, why not work on getting one of them as your next big purchase?
Doesn't really matter about the power valve at all, lol! A CR500 doesn't have a power valve, but it RIPS! It's all about how the cylinder was ported. You can get a blaster to make plenty of peaky MX power, just need to rework the ports.
The Gasman I have the same blaster and to me the DG makes the power-ban sound low pitched - my blaster sounds like a KX250 with the high pitched power ban (no disrespect) I can’t wait for the go cart that looks like the odyssey to be finished- that’s one Hellav-a-motor
I've had my blaster for about 8 months now and im the 4th owner having bought it off of one of my good friends and it hits 61mph but it does have the fmf pipe with the vforce 3 reeds and does have some weight shed off so thats probably another factor of why its faster, keeping in mind that my blaster is and early 1st gen and no big bore or stroker.
what year is it? there is one in my area listed for 1k, thinking about buying it, has an fmf pipe but its a 1991 idk if that is a good idea for something that old also the headlight is missing on it lol
Mine was new than I thought, it's a 2002 blaster. Honestly the age on these older bikes don't seem too matter mostly it just depends on what the condition is and how it runs, 1k for a 91 is not bad whatsoever especially with an exhaust on it, to fix the headlight if you do buy it would only be $50 so not too bad of an offer to me.
whassup gassman!!!!!!! i had a blaster w big bore 240kit fmf exhaust i had to extend swingarm 4" widend rear end 4" widend front 3.5" then put wheel spacers on w 20"10x9 wheels is back was sick. without swingarm extension and lenghened and widend i hated it till i extend it. after extensions it never went up on 2 wheels again and handled great. so overall w making blaster longer wider and 240cc fmf pipe reeds w oil injection delete u canake blaster into a 400ex basher.
That blaster sounds like a dying frog! My blaster sounds just like a yz250 and has the same powerband! My blaster tops out at 67 mph only upgrades are its piped and has v-force III reeds that's it
Few things I've noticed, since I'm a cheap ass... Have Penny Pincher unplug the 7.3 unless he is going to rip it at a moments notice, that block heater pulls some pretty serious wattage, I like to have mine set on a timer... And toss that stupid ass coffee maker, waste of money on the K-Cups. Just my $0.02, trying to save yinz guys some dollaz, that way you can buy more parts when you blow engine up...
The video clips are getting better.....Doing a daily video of small clips from morning to night of just reguler life activity would be watched garantee...would open up audience as not everyone into just atv but good stuff brotha

blaster is due for a rebuild man I noticed it boggs a lot so either a new topend or carb clean or adjustment man I love your vids keep it up but would enjoy seeing the top speed on a rebuild prolly hit lik 100
I got a 1995 blaster with stock Piston and stock sprokets only mods done is a racing clutch basket and a dynoport pipe set everything is stock but the pipes and clutch basket and when I get going my top speed is 63 mph
@@scotty-jn7uo my 1998 blaster and grizzly ran about the same. Blaster beat it off launch, grizzly passed its around 50 mph. Stock grizzly, blaster has tors removed and a fmf pipe🤷🏿♂️🤷🏿♂️

it's not of a 2003 or 2004 Blaster Yamaha totally changed the fender style up front and put front disc brakes from the Raptor 660 on 03 to 06 older ones had drum brakes up front that is a 2002 or older...
Yeah man this thing sounds kinda poopy right now I had one and I had it a few months then it blew up and good God the difference between the two was not night and day but you could tell the divrence between before and at the top end that thing was screaming I guess it could be the weather but your rocking a sweatshirt so it ain't to cold out but yea bore it out when you do rebuild it
Also had a question for you gasman, i got a 1987 yz125, im about to throw a new crank in it, and was wondering if you had any old techniques to split the crank case without a case splitter? Im gonna be buying myself a case splitter and a flywheel puller out of my next check, but im impatient as hell. I know its easy to damagw the flywheel taking it off without the puller. Any tips?
Dude that sounds absolutely terrible man. My blaster has a full fmf. When i got it put it i had the carb jetted correctly. That is slow as shit too. Take that thing to the shop homie. It should be going 57 to 60 easy
My least favorite 2 stroke ever made.... the top ends on these blasters go so fast. Every person I know that's had one, had blew up like every 3 hours. They were all properly broken in too
John Brown hahahaha if u take proper care of it, it won’t. I have a shit ton of after market things and I smoked a 400ex and could almost keep up with a 450r. The top ends do not go fast. It has been a fat ass minute since my top end has been touched.
