Great video. I've been doing a frame up build of a built blaster over on my channel. Love these quads. Have you figured out why it's running in reverse yet? In my experience the knock off stators have done this from time to time. It looks like it's in great shape. Even the rear oem brake is still on it. Keep the videos coming!
The Airbox lid off definitely will make a difference. You'll need to jet it up from a 230 main to a 240-250 main jet. Dual stage reeds from boyeson are a good cheap upgrade also. A header pipe will really wake it up. There's so much that can be done to these blasters. I did pretty much on mine. Stroker crank, high compression head, porting, billet reeds, aluminum Airbox, full fmf, timing advance, pwk28 carb etc. Also the stock suspension isn't fun to ride on. I now have a 400 ex rear shock( need the bushings to use/eBay has them) and 400z front shocks with long travel a arms. Not the best set up, but what I'm getting at is, I was able to do and ride faster and comfortable now. Enjoy. Long love the blasters! 💪🏽
Get a unifilter don’t run those k&n style filters.. they bottleneck your air flow. Unifilter paired with an outerwear and no air box lid is way to go, hell even getting a 1-2” hole saw and putting 6-8 holes in lid with the pop on breathers off amazon would do fine. Make sure you go up a jet size too
