Chopin played on a Pleyel piano while in Paris as he was given the piano for free as long as he was in Paris. Chopin loved his piano so much he bought one himself to take to England when he stayed there. it had a rich bright and also dark tone

Enjoyed your playing aswell as the sound of the piano....I am saving up now for a kawai ca701, I prefer the mellow sound of the kawai over the yamaha....though in this case with this piece , the sparkliness of the yamaha is better.

Very beatiful and like both the acoustics of the CFX, which is deeper and richer vs Chopin piano which is brighter and a bit livilier. For a digital piano the sound is incredible and love the feel and sound of the CLP 785, though well beyond my skill level. My first piano teacher, when just 5 year old, was a concert pianist by the name of Vladmimer Voulatine. I studied under him for three years (before returning to the US) but never could achieve his mastery and technique. HE was a protege. I had many teachers over the years, but none more patient, demanding and technically skilled as Mr. Voulatine. He lived in a small apartment in downtown Madrid and became very dear friends of my family. He and his mother, had escaped the Nazi invasion upon Chekloslavakia in 1938. They had nothing with them, other than the shirts on their back and left all their home and all personal affects, including grand piano behind. I pray you can continue to play and perform and Ukraine repels the Russions. Thanks for sharing your magnificance. Hope doing well and safe.

Dear Steve, thank you for such a warm review and an interesting story about your teacher. It is such a great fortune to meet a real teacher and mentor. Now tutorials like Flowkey are so popular, but all professional musicians know that the program will never replace a person, at least in our profession, I'm not sure about others. My story is not so sad, I was able to return to my hometown of Chernihiv. At the beginning of the Russian invasion, the city was under siege for more than a month, but our brave soldiers were able to recapture it and the city was not occupied. The Russians wanted to go through Chernigov to the capital of Ukraine, Kyiv, but shamefully fled and got a rebuff. I look to the future only with optimism, Ukraine will win.

@@mamalegba7410 So I bought the CLP 745, as a replacement for a CLP 705 which was water damaged. The sound and key action is good, but not incredible, so am returning to upgrade to a CLP 775. For some reason the middle registry on CLP 745 sounds a bit twangy to my ear, regardless of piano selection, which could be me, but I want the longer keys and enhanced striking. The difference in feel between the newer CLPs versus the older modesl, which were all plastic keys is quite noticeable, especially when quick key response is demanded by the piece. Love the way you play, your posture, position and the ease your hands glide with strength, mastery and total relaxation. One of the hardest technical abilities to develop is strength via relaxation, which can be applied in all spectrums of life. Thank you for sharing your music, virtuosity, talents and kindness. May you remain safe and free. Many blessing!

Is it more difficult to play advanced classical music on acoustic grand pianos after studying it on the CLP 785 only? I played it in a Yamaha showroom, and the key action is quite light, maybe too lighter and different than acoustic grand pianos, and so might you struggle when you play it on the acoustic grand?
@calumjones
@calumjones Год назад
Real grand pianos have a light touch because the hammers come downwards rather than fighting gravity, that's why people can play so fast and fluid on them. Upright acoustics are honestly pretty terrible, digital pianos are closer to the touch of a grand.
@verymozart
@verymozart Год назад
@@calumjones What are you talking About? the 785 is much lighter than acoustic grand pianos. Grand pianos have double escapement to make the fast repetitions of notes. It's not about just the direction of hitting the strings that makes an acoustic action heavier or lighter. I Can't understand why commenting with no competence. And it's of course asked to the person of the video

I apologise for the digital ignorance. I didn't understand, the first sound is the digital Yamaha CLP 785? And the second what is it? Another voice of the same Yamaha? The second one I really dislike. But even the first one sounds too much digital. If the Yamaha digital piano try to deliver an acoustic sound as much as possible, I think in this model didn't succeed very much. Your playing is anyway very nice 👍
@mamalegba7410
@mamalegba7410 Год назад
Yes, the first sound is the digital Yamaha CFX Grand. And the second example is the so-called "historical" timbres presented in this model. According to the developers, this is how the piano sounded in Chopin's time. There are also Scarlatti, Beethoven and Mozart timbres. To be honest, I don't really like the sound of the Chopin piano either. I'm not sure that this is how it sounded during the life of the composer. But for the sake of scientific interest, it was still interesting to compare. 😉 Of course, nothing better than an acoustic instrument has yet been invented. But for now in the world of digital piano modern Yamaha and Kawaii models are some of the best, at least you can somehow work on the artistic nuances and sound on them.
@verymozart
@verymozart Год назад
@@mamalegba7410 I don't know about the touch and Key action of this Yamaha model (as I didn't try it, but for the sounds, I feel the Kawai like the Kawai CA701/901(the new, successors, of CA79/99), have a nicer piano voices, warmer, less metallic, more grand piano like sounds, than this Yamaha. (About the touch/key action I don't know which would be more suitable to practice professionally or for diploma exams of performance of advanced classical music level, because they say the Kawai have a slightly lighter touch, but in the new ones, it seems they do a fine work with the counterweight, and that is important)
@acuity1980
@acuity1980 Год назад
@@verymozart I would highly suggest to try the Yamaha for yourself or perhaps listen to some samples that have been recorded at better quality such as in this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-I2--Hz36iKU.html Sounds much less metallic than in this video here. Also, don't forget, the Yamaha includes the much more wooden sample of the Bösendorfer Imperial Grand.
@verymozart
@verymozart Год назад
@mamalegba7410 @@acuity1980yes, but the problem would be that even if I liked the Yamaha 785, I couldn't afford it 😭. The 775 is not nice for many reasons about the material, the length keys, and doesn't have counterweights. So it seems only the Kawai CA701 I could afford. Its key action is quite nice, highly responsive. But I'm not sure if the touch is too light. I wish you had tried it and to know your, I suppose very reliable, feedback.
@verymozart
@verymozart Год назад
@@acuity1980 I then tried the Yamaha CLP 785. In a Yamaha showroom. I found the key action light. Is It more difficult to play advanced classical music on the acoustic grand pianos after studying mainly or only on the Yamaha CLP785? Because the touch/ action is too lighter ans different than acoustic grand pianos. I would appreciate to know your opinion. In another showroom I played also the Casio GP510, have you ever played it? It's much better than I thought. It impressed me the Key action, is not light, the touch is firmer. It has really hammers hitting the sensors in the same direction that the strings are hitten in the Grand pianos. The keys have the same lengths with the same pivot position, and are made with the same Austrian wood used to make the acoustic grand pianos of the Bechstein. The worst in terms of action and touch I played are the Kawai, CA 99 /701/901 they are unrealistically light, the touch isn't firm. Unsubstantial Action. The Novus10 for its price is still light and not impressive. The Casio GP 510 I liked it, but still I don't know if studying advanced classical music mainly in it, might make problems to playing it on the acoustic grand pianos

И тоже топовым в своей линейке. Дело не в том, что там другой исполнитель, безусловно более квалифицированный. Дело в понимании. Чувственном понимании. And she is looking for a reason. I take lessons at a children's music school. At school I only play acoustic pianos. I can't say anything special about school pianos.
