@JaCKo3934 You need to upgrade the cymbal to a PCY150S. That cymbal has 3 zones that allows you to hit the bell, the cymbal and the rim. It can be found on the yamaha website :)
I'm dealing with the same problem now. Your comment was from nine months ago so you probably already decided. I think I'm gonna go for this one cause Im a total beginner. I want to learn it though.
I am wrong. You cannot expand this kit. I think that hd1 and this are really quite similar. Hd 1 does not have bass pad but has an excellent snare drum and a cymbal for the hi hat. You choose.
DH1 has 10 drumset. And if we talk about sounds, one set of roland sounds is better than all the sets of dtxplorer. And what about sensitivity? And what about the hi hat that is a pad on this yamaha set? I think the only good reason to choose dtxplorer is that you can expand it (a little bit) and the bass pedal.
Anybody know if the Dtxplorer has a bass drum sound similar to the roland 808? That crazy bass drum sound. Also, is it possible to take one pad and put it on an acoustic kit and then run the brain through a PA?
can i ask why u have the ride away up next to the crash . when i got mine i pulled out the metal bar across the middle and took of the ride clamp thingy. then i took to floor tom of and put the rid on it then put the florr tom back on . so now my ride is where a ride cymball shoukd be . u should try it ;)
hey, im thinking of getting this kit and i was wondering on the cymbals, can u get a bell sound out of them or does that require diffrent pads?? cheers
cute! floor tom is tom3 couldnt u recognise it from the sounds they are producing ?? anyway, dontworry bro. dtxplorer is meant to be explored . its not a proffessional kit.
bro, My snare pad is kinda broken. is it posible to replace it with a 3zone pad ? in yamaha website they says its possible. but it has some compatability issues. I dont wanna waste money on something that im not sure of. please tell me if u have any idea. by thye way, you are good.
