Ryan Stevenson shows us a smart way he uses the Yamaha EAD10 to trigger his kit, integrate electronic pads, switches between sounds and records with the Rec´n´Share app.
Ryan Stevenson put aside the idea to play the guitar like his childhood idols when he discovered the Drums at age 14. He was a member of different pop-punk and hardcore bands, which both had popular music clips aired on French and English national Television and Radio stations with two albums released.
In this video Ryan plays a Yamaha Tour Custom kit in Chocolate Satin finish, with Yamaha Oak (NSD1455) & Steel Snare (RLS1470).

So you get good sound if you are recording yourself? Do I need to invest in any extra

@@nechemia2011 I did get the trigger for the snare. Which is extra and it plugs in the back. Then you can adjust the sound and volume.

@@nechemia2011 I get very good sound compared to me trying to mike and mix everything. I do some covers on my RU-vid channel just to learn new songs and practice mainly.

I wish there was a class or something you could take to learn all of the ins and outs of best sound quality, etc. I've had this for over a year and still learning new things.

Sounds great, we're the FRX cymbals chosen specifically to record to the ead10 to balance the volume better? I'm thinking about getting one to home record some of my band stuff but it's quite cymbal heavy and I think it might drown out the drums.

I have the ead 10 and honestly the cymbals fade. I'm sure he had a room mic as well, if not then it was just an extremely live room

Hi, can you tell me please if this would pick up a kit with snare, kick, 2 rack Tom's and 2 floor Tom's to mic up live? Not for triggering sounds so much Just to mic up.

I downloaded rec n share app, downloaded some songs from apple music and the app keeps telling me „This data cannot be selected” under each song. Any idea whats going on ? Dope video tho !

HI Geva, thanks for getting in touch. The EAD-10 (mic and bass drum trigger unit) is not available alone, as it is always a package with the module. The DT50K and DT50S trigger are available per single unit. Hope that helps!

Here's a real review. The playing is great! Too bad for $500, plus all the attachments it just doesn't sound very good at all. Cymbals, or other percussion instruments get blocked from the trigger. There are as many, or more negatives than positives. If you plan on doing drum covers, you can't independently change the volume between the music, and your kit. My ears now constantly ring. I should have just started with DAW (which I ended up getting). Notice ya can't hear some of the cymbals very well, if at all? In a real setting it's far worse

Teclado!!! Toco batera há mais de 20 anos. Yamaha tem uma das melhores baterias do mundo.. Meu sonho era ter uma batera. John D'Aoust yes and no. The samples only really appear where the trigger is I believe. The snare, toms and cymbal don’t necessarily need a trigger. I don’t know if the kick always has a trigger or not

I'm not digging the sound of this kit, ESPECIALLY that phony sounding bass drum. Nothing beats the sound of natural organic drums. Let's leave electronic drums and samples where they belong, in the 80's.
