Yamaha FZ/MT07 MUST Have Mods + Mods I Still Want 

I LIKE THAT CINEMATIC INTRO and the music so much I got harder than a R1M seat

These are great mod-able bikes! I've done the following to mine... MT-07 ABS Grey Controls: - Genuine Yamaha levers (Gilles Tooling) - ‎Genuine Yamaha heated grips - ‎Yamaha R6 throttle tube (1/6 turn) - ‎Techspec C3 tank grips - MT-10 foot pegs - Hero blob blanking plugs Lighting: - Philips Racing Vision H4 +150% - Philips Xtreme Vision w5w LED (4k) - ‎Genuine Yamaha LED blinkers - ‎Blinker relay for LEDs Looks: - Genuine Yamaha fly screen (smoked) - Genuine Yamaha bellypan - K-Maxx Typ2 bar-end mirrors & bar-ends - ‎Mirror stalk blanking plugs - Evotech tail tidy - MT07 6x4 private plate - ‎MT logo rear brake-fluid sock Protection: - Evotech radiator guard - ‎Pyramid-Plastics rear hugger (colour matched) Performance: - Akrapovic titanium exhaust (decat, minimal baffle plate, o2 sensor delete) - DNA air filter - DNA stage 2 airbox lid - S-TEC custom remap - ‎80bhp, 55lbft, +5hp midrange gain - Sigma slipper clutch Braking: - Brembo SA/SP sintered brake pads - HEL brake lines (7 line kit) Suspension: - Maxton rear shock - Maxton fork cartridge kit Utility: - Genuine Yamaha chain adjusters (Gilles Tooling) - Ventura Estoril removable tail bag

I got the Yamaha official flyscreen, Akrapovic titanium system and R&G tail-tidy (aka fender eleminator) for my '18 MT-07. Understated mods, just gives the bike cleaner lines when you look at it and sounds much better.

The peg placement is for me one of the most annoying things about the FZ 07 (which tells you a lot that something so small is the most annoying thing). I'm a shorter person and it gets in the way of where my feet reach down. Hits my leg and I have to move them either in front or behind to reach down. I'm glad there's a solution that others have figured out

See the Project Farm video about air filters. See the Dave Moss videos about the MT/FZ-07 front forks and back shock. A quick improvement for a K&N oiled cotton air filter is adding a K&N oiled foam prefilter on top of it- it filters a lot more dust and is much easier to clean.

ColorClusterz LCD flips looks good on it man!! Debating on switching from the protaper Carmichael bend to your bars. Thoughts?

The first mod I made to my FZ-07 were steel-braided brake lines. Night and day difference!

thanks for that. Cool intro well done. make sure you mod. the forks, I chopped 13mm off (I'm 73Kg) used 15W oil and I am loving the difference. Only thing is you realise how shit the std. rear shock is. My next purchase is the same rear sets you have. Thanks for the advice on the locktite :)

Highly recommend the OEM R6 throttle tube (not motion pro tube). Super cheap and easy mod that makes a fun bike even "funner"! 😉👌

Check out extreme creations front caliper brackets, they allow you to run 320mm rotors from the r1. Other then more leverage and better bite, the rotors look way cooler.

5 mins to install the rear tidy - I call BS! Just because I just did it on my '20 MT07. Cool though man - I watched your vid about buying one and the negative spects of the bike. I'm an older guy - I already have a '17 R1200RT that I love - just wanted something smaller to tool around on - I freaking love it. I am going to learn to do short wheelies - in parking lots.

I liked the intro Bud. The quality of your vids have always been good but they keep getting better. Still, the ripping around and wheelies make me cringe but what can a dad do.

The mods I would do is to take of the rear wheel and paint the cross beam of the swing arm with some rust proof paint such as black smooth hammerite. The bike is so prone to rust, even without riding in the rain. The next thing I will do is to see if I can find a 2018 mt-07 rear shock on eBay. My bike is a 2016 model with abs. Then do the front fork mod as recommended by Dave moss tuning. The bike is a el cheapo motorbike. I don't want to add things to it, as after I sell it. I would lose a whole bunch of money, if I upgraded to a akrapovic exhaust. Gilles rear combined swing arm spools, rear sets. I might as well have spent the money on an mt-09 or even the ugly KTM 790 Duke

Fender delete is legal in washington state, but the steep angle you have your license plate tilted COULD be considered ticket-able. of course at that point you were getting a ticket for something else anyhow lol

Why would you tape a full system? I'm guessing it's titanium. The color clean titanium changes is beautiful.

You need to switch out those flag decals. The stars supposed to face the front. Other than that. It’s a dope ass bike. I have a 19 MT07 myself.

Ditch the k&n and pick up a hordpower intake. It's pricey but it literally transforms the bike.

LED lights are completely necessary for the Fz-07, the stock light is way too dim.
