To all the haters out there, Take a test ride of this machine and then comment later. This is the most affordable 250cc bike from Yamaha. This is not focused for Track rides. This bike is purely focus on city commute and occasional highway rides. Having 5-speed Gear box on a 250cc bike gives me power through out all RPM, than stressing the engine to achieve speeds FI, 250cc, 20nm torque, led headlight, Yamaha build, Reliable engine, Comfort. All these package at just 1.3lak on-road is bank for buck.
Adersh R Alornekar Owning a FZ for the fourth year now, paying for maintenance on a FZ and Pulsar is pretty much the same. You spend a little less on Pulsar TBH, and it gives you more power and fuel efficiency. So, you pay the price for the refinement you are talking about.
Adersh R Alornekar i also have fazer from about 4 years. both tyres changed, both suspensions changed, brake liver changed. i have to change almost everything so nothing is durable in yamaha bikes. and now there's a huge crack on both tank covers. so i have to Change them also. engine start making vibrations just within a month of service and yamaha service is also not good. so there's like durable brand. one have to take care of his bike himself. bajaj bikes are much more powerful and fuel efficient than yamaha bikes.
Manish Chatterjee This is a 250 cc bike and Duke 200 is obviously 200. There is a difference between torque and Bhp which you seem to forget. Duke 200 has more bhp. So, let's not compare these two.
@@TheVivekt it's priced less that Duke 200 and the 0-60 and 0-100 timings are closer to Duke 250. My suggestion take a test ride and decide. Fz 25 and Gixxer 250 are a better options than Duke 250. If performance to rupee ratio is your concern. If money is not an issue just go directly for Duke 390.
Utsav Nikte Hey Bud, thanks for reaching out. I don’t remember when and why I commented here as it’s been a long time. I owned a FZ S then and own a Dominar 400 now. FZ25 is definitely a good bike but the lack of 6th gear is a problem. With Duke 200 and 250 you can cruise comfortably at higher speeds. My friend has a FZ25, I love the refinement on the FZ as always but to compare it with a Duke on RAW power is something I’d avoid. Also, Gixxer is a beauty too. Just that when I talk about performance, it’s just not up there. At least for my expectations. But I do agree with you on the VFM front, I’d recommend a FZ25 any day if value is a concern.
I m looking forward for the release of benelli leoncino scrambler..such a good looking bike for all those simple naked bike lovers..its a tad expensive but i hope its worth it..
Outstanding performance motorcycle, i love it, be it city or highway wonderful bike. Comfortable. At high speed driving 135kmph for few kilometres and normal speed of 80 to 100 kmph i got 38kmpl. What else a normal commuter wants. Safe feeling on Yamaha FZ25. None stop 135 km run without getting tired. Very good seat and seating posture.
I don't understand why fz 25 produce some engine sound ! i brought my bike(fz 25) just few days back and realised that even others fz 25 have had too..Is there any solution or to fixed to produce a smooth and solid sound in fz25 ????
Akshay Lanjekar bro Indian Highways and expressways are good, in your sense if u feel our roads are shit then most people would ride splendor instead ! And for a fact when you spend a hell lot cash on a 250cc bike u expect it to deliver power.
Onkar Tambe bro power is not the only thing you want....you also need fuel efficiency, quality and perfect ride feel that Yamaha gives....do you regularly ride on highways and expressways ? Do you feel ns200, duke 200/390, rc200/390 are fuel efficient ? what's wrong when you get 20 bhp, AHO, FI system, 43 kmpl average, stylish naked looks and most important quality? Yamaha is known for their quality and good looking bikes and fz25 is one of these bikes.
Akshay Lanjekar bro I owe a Yamaha r15 version 1 and I know the quality and performance it gives, I never complained about Yamaha, but it strikes very bad that when Yamaha enters 200+cc segment and compares it with duke and ns. If fuel efficiency was the only point people could ride any 150cc bike like hornet or fz. It would be very difficult for Yamaha bike owners to upgrade once they see the specs.
Onkar Tambe bro Yamaha r15 v1 is 150 cc bike with 19bhp, 30 kmpl avg INR1.2 lakh bike which most people will not consider of buying, so fz25 is giving 20 bhp with good handling, fuel efficiency...if you took rc200/390, honestly they are made for straight and clear roads bcoz handling is stiff even seating is not comfortable, all bajaj bikes lack in braking system and quality, KTM bikes are manufactured in bajaj plants and they are costly too. If you are really considering 200-250 cc bikes without thinking of cost then Honda cbr250 is best. Suzuki will be real competer as gsx250 will be launched this year. TVS rtr200 is good too, Suzuki bikes are affordable. Yamaha has launched fz25 considering all the factors whereas baja, KTM have concentrated only on power and looks. Yamaha's real competers are Honda and Suzuki. TVS don't have much service centers and even spare parts are mostly unavailable so people don't consider it too.
It has only 20bhp that means less engine heating, better mileage, good durable engine and controlable speed so its safe and why people dont understand greater bhp in less cc means bad for engine life, mileage and durability
graviron R15 is a sports bike with enough bhp and below par mileage which is good for 150 cc....all Yamaha bikes have good durability...bikes with big bhp don't have that good mileage.
Dani Soedibyo you guys have many cool bikes in your country, Example Yamaha's M-Slaz, Yamaha's R15 v3 and Honda's CBR250RR I'm pretty these bike aren't coming to India, that makes me sad.
im a die hard yamaha fan. i owned a fzs for 6 years and i really like that bike because it along with bajaj pulsar bring a radical change in bike design in India. But yamaha really disappoint me with the launch of this bike with mediocre specs. I expected yamaha to launch something like mt 03. This bike would have been fine if they launched it like 3 years ago.
Whining of people here about power and torque figures is just stupid. Check out the PowerDrift's speed and acceleration test. 0 - 60 in 3.5 seconds and 0 to 100 in just 8.5 seconds. This is pretty much as fast as the KTM Duke 250. And for 1.3 Lakh rupees this is a great offering. The taller gear ratio means it's easy to ride in traffic as well. However, when you open up the throttle it can unleash mayhem. It's sure surprising how Yamaha managed to do that. Of course for the price, there are some trade off like box section swing arm, smaller forks, no ABS etc. But don't be stupid, Yamaha got this right.
wast bike..... no abs ,,,,no liquid cooling,,,, gear slip ,,,,,bhp is low,,,,, technic level too low almost wast bike..........we are expecting more quality yamaha bikes ,,,,,,,,,,
Bhavith Kannan ride first then comment..the quality and reliability of yamaha is unmatchable by anyother brand at this price point.……1.2lakhs i rode fz250..you will feel like god..higher torque of 21nm will make you addictive to throttle more...top speed is 155km per hour. can ns200 or apache or ktm200 will touch top speed of 155? this s wat yamaha..world class quality
i do agree bro...but see the price its 1.2 lakhs..but i personally rode fz 250 and the performance is awesum..may be you give a try and i hope you will feel the same...in 5th gear the in gear acceleration is so high becas of the high torgue..even rs 200 cant match that in gear acceleration..
duke touches 1.6 lakhs...for 1.2lakhs the yamaha quality is far better than ns.... pls bro..don mention like ""only torque""...torque is the heart of every bike and biker
Not up to Yamaha standards.. Especially not when the other manufacturers are coming with all guns blazing.... Time is such that you need to have a good resume for people to just have a look at you. I am very upset.. I had expected more
Yamaha, my name is David, I would like this request to be read by the YAMAHA management, of greater attention to the bikes manufactured here in Brazil in relation to desing. They are manufacturing an ugly bike that is making YAMAHA lose market here in Brazil. Today Yamaha Brazil only has 13% of the market due to desing. The bikes manufactured by indonesia are much more beautiful leaving Brazilians with the desire to acquire products of better desing.
Yang bilang cuman powernya low.. Cek otak lagi... Liat torsi nya... Ini naked bike bukan sport fairing.. Torsi woi torsi... Wkwkkw.. Ini buat daily & touring... Mesin lebih awet!
No 4 valves, No Liquid Cooling, No ABS option, No gear shift & gear position indicators,No 6th gear, Only 20 Bhp, No USD forks, No slipper clutch, No clip ons,..In other words...A complete piece of shit!!
listen two things should have been there that is 6 gears and 4 valve, but its japanese, its 2 valave engine will outperform than the shitty ns 200,they give perimeter frame still gixxer a japanes bike with diamond frame outperform it in handling and riding dynamics
No new technology that's being displayed in this video. Every other motorcycle offers monoshock suspension and a muffler chamber (Lol). I don't see what Yamaha is trying to advertise here.
