I have an S1 with some custom work. These bikes are really smooth power. I'm at around 100 hp at the wheel and 48 lbs/ft of torque with a full exhaust and a custom dyno tune on a power commander 5. A few comfort mods and you'll never want to sell or stop riding. Ride safe!
Your s1 is really and s1.5 and much more valuable than the normal s1 as it is Euro III compatible (less eco restrictions) and has 78hp, making it legal to drive with the A2 license once detuned to 35kw (~47hp). Both original S1 and S2 have 98hp, surpassing the 70kW limit of unrestricted power. The easiest way to spot a 2007 "s1.5" are the rear brake reservoir tank, expansion tank of the liquid cooling and the extra catalyzer in the headers, alongside a bigger vertical cat. All these parts are shared and in the same location as the S2. There are also more similiarities between those two like the ECU, with less of a dead zone in the lower rpms and other improvements. The motors are the same and the 20hp difference found in the later s1 is due to a physical extra notch found in the throttle body (from stock it doesn't fully open). If anyone is reading this and thinking about buying one of these, get the S2. The brakes and the dash make quite a big difference. Only get the S1 if it is significantly cheaper and makes more economical sense to you.
