The music in the introduction of the video is in stereo, but when Mr. Escueta plays the Montage M8x it's recorded in mono. As such, you can't ascertain the true quality of the Montage M acoustic sounds when they are recorded in mono. The overwhelming majority of videos on RU-vid of people playing Montage M acoustic sounds are recorded in stereo, where you can ascertain the true quality of the sounds. Many of the Synth patches on the Montage M are mono, but that's normal. There are also many Synth patches in stereo as well. The best way to judge sounds on a keyboard is to play it in person with a quality pair of headphones or quality speakers. RU-vid compresses audio in videos, which doesn't help.
he more i watch the Montage M videos, the more I want a Montage M instead of a Roland Fantom. So this video is a definate trap to make us buy this board.
Yeah it’s great. Some people love to knock things they have no experience. Well at least Yamaha can say their sampled key noise is impossible to discern from the real thing.
to bad that the new keybed of the Montage M8x makes al lot of noise. not well muffled. For me a deal breaker. I want to make music without any noise from the keybed.
It makes some noise but I wouldn't call it 'a lot'. Is it just the realistic piano action? Is M7 quieter? Why is that a deal-breaker? Are you recording vocals on one track while recording piano on another?
