Some clips of me clutchless shifting on my bike, is it better or worse than normal shifting? Does it wear out the transmission faster? What do you think? Bike: 2016 Yamaha mt03 with a full arrow exhaust Filmed with a GoPro Hero 7 Black
Finally got my mt03 and I’ve been trying to do this, sometimes the shifter won’t move and other times it’s clunky haha guess I just gotta keep at it, love these videos man
Really videos from you, man! I'm looking to get my first bike in a few months time, and the MT03 is one of the choices, was wondering, in the time you've owned yours, how reliable has it been? Any major issues?
I've had the bike for over 2 years now, and the only thing that broke was the headlight bulb, mechanically the bike is perfect, one thing I'd mention is the stock exhaust rusts very easily but that's just cosmetic.
Are you preloading the shift lever with your foot before letting off throttle? Also at round what rpm do you shift up usually? Mines clunky as hell when I try lol
Yeah I do but for not even a second, I've read if you preload for too long it puts extra wear on the gearbox. And it always feels smooth for me in the upper half of the rev range above 6k rpm.
No QuickShifter, you can do this with any bike, just push the gear lever up just as your blipping the throttle. It's called clutchless shifting there plenty of videos on it on yt. And thanks for watching bro
@@iride1999 i have never watched anything about that before, we are always learning. I've been thinking about buying the new 2020 mt-03 cus i'll be taking my license soon. What do you think about that? Should i Invest in that or just save the money and buy something cheaper and not so fun to ride?
The yamaha is a great bike and I would recommend it to anyone but all bikes are fun whether they're cheap or not, there's plenty of options out there some probably even more fun than this.
Where I’m doing lessons to get a license they have this bike and yesterday, the first time I shift gear, I shifted without using the cluch (not on porpuse) and I was like.... is it supposed to do that?? Wtf.
This bike doesn't have a quickshifter or anything to allow it to change gears without the clutch, If you keep giving it throttle and shift up it will damage the gearbox, but if you quickly go off and on the throttle like in the video that's fine.
