Nice job. I’ve been following you since the Street Bob. Got good points on the air filter mod for my 2020 Softail Standard. I still have it and a 2004 FZ1. I like the MT-10, too. It’s grandfather, the FZ1 is still running great. You have good taste in bikes.
hi bro,can you give me the link to buy the smog block off plate and debug connector like yours? and can this block off mount for r1 2015-2019? i would appreciate if you help 😊!!! Thank you very much🙏!!!
Be careful using a K&N filter, they allow everything smaller than a mid-size chicken into your intake increasing wear. I'd go with a Sprint (not the see through one) or a DNA filter as they are within 3/4 of one HP but much more protection.
Hey man, what is the use of the smog block plates? Does the exhaust pop more or anything like that? And if I understud correctly, the exhaust servo wont give you an engine fault if you just plug the wiring back in right?
That's correct mate the fault code wont come up if you plug in the exhaust servo wiring. The exhaust does pop more with the decat but once you get it tuned to suit the popping wnt be as apparent. Smog block of plates are designed to seal off the ports used by the air injection system. the air injection system is used to burn off emissions and makes the bike harder to tune without blocking them off. There's much more information on Google on the use of smog block off plates.
Here is a good explanation of what they do. -To get an accurate Air:Fuel (A/F) ratio when dynoing the bike. The air injection system pumps fresh air directly into the exhaust stream in order to burn off any unused fuel. Unfortunately by doing this the A/F ratio is thrown off by the extra "fresh air" in the exhaust stream. By removing the air injection system you can achieve an accurate A/F ratio. -This addition will typically remove the majority of popping on deceleration that can be experienced with un-burnt gasses within the emission charcoal chamber. Note: Proper tuning may be needed and this is general feedback. -Greatly reduces popping on deceleration.
Hey man, I know it's been two years but I bought the exact same exhaust setup for my 2020 mt-10 and the black widow mid pipe is too long at the Akrapovic muffler. There's a little ring inside it that stops the mounting holes from lining up about an inch short. Any suggestions? Looks like yours fit perfectly!
@@dougiequick1 sure hope he didnt mean mph. I'd never been even 190 kilometres per hour on the bike either mate. I didn't get to do track days. Our speed limits are 100kms so I didn't double the speed limit on public roads bro
They're called smog block off plates. They replace the air injection system by blocking it off. The constriction below the filter limits the power. remove it. After this treatment, you need to flash your computer because the AFR is high, the engine will be damaged.
I disagree. The K&N air filter provides more air flow than stock thus better performance which is proven in the video below on a dyno ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-WixTvlFvOlA.html Also its recommended that you install smog block off plates even if AIS is disabled on your flash. There is still oxygen that can get through the AIS if BOP's aren't installed. But you do you buddy 👍
