do you know of any way to prime the oil pump when it loses its prime?

I feel like if the oil reservoir is full it should prime itself being close to the lowest point. What makes you think it is not primed? You may be able to take the hose off at the bottom of the oil tank make sure the filter screen is clean as well and somehow force oil into that pickup line. If I recall the Phazer will shut itself off if it does not read oil pressure in the first few seconds after startup.

@@MiloFarms well this weekend sledding i accidently tipped it on it side (oil tank side down) and when i uprighted the sled and started it the dash flashed OP-LO and the sled would'nt move when i pressed the throttle. it had to sit for 2 hours before the code cleared and the sled would move again. i figured it was because the pump lost prime.

@@Jaffaca That would make sense. It must have gotten a bubble that caused an air lock. when all the oil left the sump for the top of the engine and oil tank.

@@MiloFarms yea thats what i did think happen. i had to let it sit for 2 hours before i could get it going again. just curious if you knew of a better way to help that.. the obvious is not to roll it of course. i looked in many forums and online resources but i couldn't find anything to help the pump prime itself

@@Jaffaca I think too particularly with 4 strokes its more essential that as soon as it tips over hit the kill switch on the right handlebar.
