Got my keyboard a few weeks ago. Just 3 issues with it. I can export my compositions (Export SMF files) which then appear on my memory stick as MID files, but there is no way that you can load the MID files back in. Also, the headphone jack would have been better positioned on the front of the keyboard down from the pitch wheel for example and not at the back. Same goes for the USB port. Being portable, it can run on 6 AA batteries or rechargeable batteries which the keyboard can charge up when mains powered, it defaults to alkaline in the menu. Out of 10, I'd give this 8.5 for its features and superb sound.
It really is a lot of bang for your buck. I use it more than my SX900. Worth mentioning the USB and generous polyphony which means that you can record a very full sound and then switch off the melody and play along. A REALLY fun and professional sounding keyboard.
@@amusic9825 You're right, but I find the E series much more FUN. I got all the "sophisticated" stuff out of my system when I had an S900 and now the focus is on a more simple approach. You can find my S900 vids here (about 600+ of 'em) www.youtube.com/@MrClitheroe/videos
@@MrClitheroe you have any idea about E425 series? i ordered this today and that model apparently has more keys and a particular sound sample better compared to 473
You are right Gotu. There are a few videos on RU-vid comparing the two models. Jeremy See is always (amongst others) very knowledgeable on these matters. I would suggest that you search "E473 vs EW425". It boils down to cost/space/personal preference, in the end.
Keyboard manufacturers nowadays love to take away features and put them bavk on more expensive models. Lol. I have a Yamaha PSR530 my dad acwuired in 1998 and it's made in japan (keyboards nowadays are made in china for entry level to midrange) and still exists to this date. I have gigged with it from 2006-2015 and it has a proper line out. Some keyboards today esp portable pianos (I'm looking at you, ROLAND) dont have a proper line out like the Roland FP30 and only brought it back on the FP30X. So companies nowadays are really implememting the ",create the problem and sell the aolution" business model. Lol.
Hey! I am not sure if you can help me, but I am trying. My Keyboard is a Yamaha PSR- EW310. I am wondering if the EW425 has the Strings tones which is the voice number 77 on the EW310? And tell me if EW425 has it or not? Thanks for helping me out!
Hello Can you help me PLEASE 🙏 My question: How I can use loop function on Yamaha psr e 473 from tones and styles? It is said on manual that loop to pad possible from microphone, audio or USB. But I need make loop from keyboard itself from tones or styles. Please help me. Thank you.
Very nice Keyboard for the Price Piano Sounds great, Strings great, Groove Styles Fantastic, Loudness for Speakers Fantastic, Transpose Function, Quick Sampling, Mikrophon and and and 🎹🎹🎹🎼🎼🎼
DON’T BUY A 437. The headphones turn off at random times. Rebooting doesn’t solve the problem. You’ve got to wait a random time to get the headphone output back. The other thing is that voices saved to the bank are saved only partially. When the machine is rebooted some of the saved parameters revert to the (bad) defaults.
sir, can someone without any basic knowledge self learn buying this? i bought the 425 model today will arrive on tuesday, i have no knowledge of melody, harmony, music sheet, sampling recording effects and all that stuff, just want to learn to be able to play anything within 6 months
@@savagemako17 thanks, i did made a mini anime theme, nothing much yet and ordered a sustain pedal, have not been able to find a single video on youtube about how to read music notes or how to get light drop style music notes
