hey bro ,got my rocker arm bearing changed recently(r15 v3),the service centre guys adjusted the idle rpm wayy too low(1100 hot),and now i can hear the tappet making noise, not very load, but a lot compared to before. they said tht they have purposely left the tappet loose,and they will set it again after 200-300km,but i dont trust the anymore as they keepon changing there statement,what shld i do? please help!!!!!!!
First U can adjust rpm. Then check is there any change. Normally tappet sound is there even if we set it in perfect value. .but we have to make sure the value is perfect. So dont care too much about tappet sound, sometimes tappet sound will reduce after few kilometres. try changing rpm required rpm is 1400+/- 100
For new gen yamaha , valve lift is bit more than old models, so in medium rpm range there will be a sound like tappet noice. Actually thats not tappet sound. We cant able to make it silent like tvs, bajaj etc , sound will be there usually that sound will come when engine running on mid range rpm with minimal load or sometimes when down shifting. That sound will be lesser when bike is brand new after some day it will be there nd for ever. We can notice The same rattle noice, in bigger bikes too. Check some good quality videos for your reference. If you think the sound isnt normal get it fixed , may be they put wrong value, it is easy to make 4 valves noisy , each intake and exhaust valves clearance should be perfectly same, otherwise it will make sound. Two valves engine can still work silent even the measurements is wrong.
@@JiddusGarage bro i tried adjusting the idle rpm,my turning the screw anti clockwise direction,but even after 4-6 revolution,i didn't notice any difference in the rpm,also they said tht if you increase the idle rpm,the tappet will make noise,and idk how that makes sense.
