The updated R6 has developed aerodynamics with a design inspired by the current R1 as well as a front fork and an upside-down front 43 mm, a new rear shock, a new aluminum fuel tank, a magnesium subframe, ABS brakes, ride systems, and traction control. Aerodynamics are said to reduce drag by 8% over previous models. The engine did not change with the rear wheel capacity at approximately 120 hp. The YZR-M1 chassis is similar to the current Moto GP.
