Did 140 on one of my boy’s R6, looked at the speedometer and said never again lol to be honest it didn’t feel like I was going that fast until I looked down, everyone had a 750-1000 dropped the bike off and the next day my boy calls me and asked if I was gunning it it? He goes to tell me I’m lucky because the chain was missing a link! Thank God !

I hit 165 on mine with stock sprocket ⚙️ I have a yoshimura exhaust on it and same ECU flash as you and air filter as well. O2 sensor gone no block off plates. That’s all I got in mine. And quickshifter same as you. And I think it could’ve gone a bit more. The only thing is that mine is 2019 ☺️

I like the R6's mirrors. Don't take them off. The bike will look worse without them. Hooligan style isn't nice. I vote for the mirrors. Now regarding your speed runs... I love to watch them but... You got a baby dude. Not fun growing up without a father because he wanted to show his top speed on the internet. There are millions of other ways to provide content without risking your life that much. Keep it up. Regards.

tchavei I'm from Austin man. The section of road he was on is very low traffic and designed for high speed. The road is banked and I myself have gone plenty fast on it.

I think that's the same road where Henessey Motorsports closes off the road for their record speeds. But yeah, so long as you got some nice ass gear, you'll be good from most stuff. You might come out a bit dinged up, but at least it's better than the statistic of "most motorcyclists that get into crashes have a (forgot stat) ): to die." I would definitely get that front sprocket down a tooth. I mean I know it's only a 600 so it's gonna struggle above 150 no matter what, but it took a looong time to get to 160 from 150. With your weight of probably 210+ with all gear on, gearing the bike down makes all the sense in the world imo. I don't why but I'm loving these top speed videos. I know it's kinda juvenile of me, lol, but I like it.

going one tooth down in the front would reduce top speed and increase acceleration... so its either up in the front for top speed or down in the back for more top speed. hope this helps!

Going one tooth down in front does not _necessarily_ mean a lower top speed. When a bike's top speed is limited by air resistance and not by the rev limiter then gearing a bike down can actually increase top speed in some cases. I doubt it will in the case of the R6, but I think a lower gearing will result in more or less an identical top speed (just at a slightly higher rpm) but a slightly faster acceleration, which is a win.

If you remove a tooth on the front sprocket and/or add one or more to the rear, you will decrease top speed and increase acceleration. Kind of like going to the smallest sprocket of the crankset on a bicycle. I think you meant to say the opposite, which is add to the front and/or remove from the rear.

If he removes one only on the front, he'll likely see a small increase as the bike didnt reach its redline and it will find it easier to accelerate with one tooth less.

I don't have a 2017r6 but I have an 2005 r6 and I'm 5'5 and only weigh 115lbs😂😂 I know I'm small. But I topped mine out at 167 I'm not sure if that was true speed though!! But I still thats fast enough 😂. Great video though love the content keep it up. And ride safe brother!!!

Heavymetal122 the CRF450 only has a single cylinder, and is tuned for low down torque (because ya know, it's a dirt bike), and is very tall and not sleek in any way. It also is a 5 speed that is geared very low. A Ninja 300 is an 8-valve twin cylinder that is tuned to high rpm and speed, with the side effect of lower torque, and is much more aerodynamic. It also has a 6 speed gearbox.

I noticed that too, I just had a baby boy 7 months ago, I went from a GSX1000s to a Grom. When you have power you will use it. So now I just have fun enjoying corners on the Grom at lower speeds.

i wish we could ride the exact same bike and see what kind off difference it makes soley on just our weight difference, i weigh about 135-140 i bet i can hit 165-168… I hit 152 at 14k rpm with my 636 or around there because i was going off stock spedometer with no flash, uinlocked ecu anything like that at all, but have not pushed it further then that because i have only had the bike a little over a week.

Had a few Yamaha R6s. My last was a 2009 and I hit 162MPH and then I realized damn, that’s just a little to fast. It’s was a nice adrenaline rush but definitely didn’t want to push my luck.

I also have a 2017 R6 I weigh 190 lbs. my top speed on the bike stock was 166mph. Then I did my ECU from Bauce racing, stock sprockets, Traction off and went 172. I know the bike will go 176 if your at the right place and the right time. And the highway has a big impact on this.

Long time sub, enjoy the content. You are addicted to that throttle though, as many are/were. I used to feel invincible doing the same. I knew it wasn't "right" what I was doing but continued doing it anyway. But then I got pulled over which brought me back down to earth. If you flash your ecu, you'll be able to shift higher. Believe it or not it's restricted, it will make a noticable difference if you flash your ecu.

I have a 2017 r6 the only thing I have done to it is just a Mid pipe “ypipe” and a shorty. On A mode I hit 162mph but I bet if you fine a better smoother road you’ll get better speed. I live in Dallas so we have some crazy highways! Love your videos they are very helpful btw because I have the same bike!

Hey man. I'm sending my ECU to get flashed to the same company as you and I also have a 2017 r6. I have two brothers full exhaust and a QS. I'll be getting my smog block off plates in the mail before I get my ECU. Once everything is put together I'll see what my top speed is and I'll let you know. I ride a 2003 R6 and it might be that I'm only 150lbs but I've gotten up to 170mph on a strait flat highway. As far as I know it's all stock except a Yosimura RS-3 slip on. I pretty sure the sprockets are stock sizes too being 16/48.

The speedo is off by 6%. At 50mph it was off by 3mph, and when the speedo said 100, the GPS said 94. So your 164mph on the speedo, your actual is 155mph, which is about right for a tuned 600. They just don't have the HP for real top speed runs... the wind resistance is too much to hit redline in 6th for most 600's... The speedo is off by a percentage... not a set MPH, remember that. The faster you go, the more inaccurate it becomes...

So let me get it straight.... i Love your bike (and your channel)...but my r6 2005, -1 in front , k&N filter, no delete or flash is faster than a 2017 R6 ? That's just weird my bike has 35 000miles on it, im gona test your app for fun. I normally ride in canada (colder air) but im in miami for a while (with my bike)...better highways if you want my opinion...and less cops. I will see if i can still hit 160ish here. (5.11 foot and 195 pounds with full gear on)

I just got my cousins 2000 yamaha r6 (its my first bike) and due to him buying a 05 yamaha r1 he wanted the r6 off his hands, hes been looking to sell it so i bought it off him. the second gear is fucked up due to him giving it hell and its a little beat up cause he laid it down once. it also needs a muffler, that damn thing is a little too loud for me and for the type of area i live in.

My 2017 gsxr 600 hits 175 mph on the stock speedo I only have a mGp hot bodies slip on no tune. Idk how off that is lol I only weigh 140 lbs. but I’ll try to get another video up soon .
