Hi, my battery just died not long ago from leaving the key on and since then it lasted 4 months just fine til recently it died, wouldn't start. Now that I bought a new battery I just installed it, turned it on and idle and gave it some revs and stuff but I didn't go for a ride, let it sit there for 2 days and now I went for a ride the 4rd start up (rode stop rode stop etc) and now its acting up, once I turn it on and crank it the cluster goes blank for a second. I think its because when I installed it on I didn't take it for a ride to let it charge the battery properly. Could that be the problem? It's a agm battery 190cca 8.6ah mottobatt mbtz10s. Same battery as when I bought the bike. Thanks for the video guide!
If you have a battery tender I would throw that on for an hour or so because most batteries don't ship at full charge and you really need a long ride to get it charged all of the way up. You could also check the battery voltage with a volt meter to get an idea of how low it is.
@@willmckinnon8584 thanks I figured it's cos I didn't take it for a ride/rip straight away after putting it on. I started it again today after 2 days and it fired straight up very quickly though so there's that and I kept it revs above 5k rpm and kept reving it for 2 minutes, hopefully thatll put some juice into it. Or I might be mistaken that our bikes don't charge the battery once you start it it runs off the electrical system - the bike on its own basically.. 🤷♂️
For a track bike, it has to be one of the most awful bikes to work on. Everything is placed so horribly. There's no reason it require all that removal to get the damn battery out
