Your the only video on youtube that shows how to program the radio on a RSV. Greatly appreciated. Never liked snow even as a kid. Had to work in it in a couple of jobs hated it!!! Again thanks I just bought a 08 RSV and had no clue how to change the channels.
Your very welcome! I have been an outside worker since I was delivering newspapers at 12 years old. i do not like the heat at all.. I can dig working outside in -30 blizzardz plowing snow with the window down no problem.. Take care..
Much Appreciated. I saw that same mess outside over to your west a couple hundred miles here in Brookton Maine. I just Picked up my 03 RSV couple days ago. I got a decent deal due to it needing some repairs and a front tire. Otherwise all is well. Many Thanks for the easy to follow info on setting this puppy up to work so I can add to the otherwise already loud exhaust noise !!! also gonna Sub you and point some traffic atcha. will give a shout at Venturerider.org as well! Ride safe Brother! and thanks again!
Thank you. My apologies for taking so long to reply my Marican Brother... :)- and yoru very welcome. Glad I was able to help.. Riding season is so close, it's unreal!
at least your venture does not have ABS. I have been caught in snow like that at work three times over the decades commuting on my motorcycles here in pennsylvania..made it home with some wheel spin and some slippin & slidin..If you had a motorcycle with ABS. You would have zero brakes..found that out on my bmw k1200 lt.. BUT- if you had a Moto Guzzi with abs.. you can push a button to turn off the ABS and revert to conventional brakes on those. I have had 4 guzzis (210k combined miles) 3 ventures too..( 180k combined miles). just picked up a 2008 venture with 30k miles on sept- 16-2021... i could not figure out the radio on the ride home..i just wanted to turn it off..i never ever listen to the radio - ever..i just want to hear the engine ( with stock mufflers & earplugs always).. but thanks for showing me how to operate the handlebar controls for the radio on my Venture. I recently sold my Honda GL 1800, and the buyer wanted me to demonstrate how the radio/sound system works. Because I never tried operating it, I could not demonstrate that the radio and sound system actually worked. We had to read the owners manual for the Honda to get the radio to turn on…Now when I go to sell the Venture, I will be able to prove that the sound system works. Thanks
Once that coil is broke, your SOL my friend. You could switch it out for an aftermarket antenna, but I think I would opt to go online and find a used factory one. That being said, the CB Antenna is the one that has a black coil at the mid-way point, and should be on the right side of the bike?? The left side, is for the AM/FM Radio reception, and is on the left side, and has no coil. Check out this thread Discussion over at VentureRider. I hope this helps. www.venturerider.org/forum/topic/62526-cb-antenna/
