Yamaha RX-1 Drive Belt Removal 

At this point I do not have one that can be down for a carb cleaning. Next time I have one I can for sure do a video. The process is not to hard. First you have to take the air box off which you can see in the cdi upgrade video. Then loosen the hose clamps on the boots going to the engine. Unplug the hoses and wires. Remove the throttle cable and choke cable. Then the 4 carbs will come off as 1 assembly. Remove the screws and take the bowls off. Clean all orifices and jets with carb cleaner. Do not use a drill to clean jets. Set the jetting per the carb jetting chart for your riding temperature and altitude. Re install in the reverse order. Make sure to set the choke cable so you get full range of motion on the choke. The set the throttle cable so you have 1/8 in free play in the throttle before it activates so you don't trip the TORS system at low throttle.

If it is a machine that runs and shifts the trick in the link should help. Also make sure parking brake is set first.

There are a number of wires around the battery that connect to it. I would start with checking all the connections and make sure you have a good strong battery. There are some known issues where some of the connections can fail.

It is not indexed on the spline you just take the belt off and then take out bolt. The whole thing slides off. Just don't loose or mix up the shims if it has them.

@MiloFarms impossible. The bolt won't reach the threads. I had the secondary clutch on the other day. To My on the drive shaft and on the clutch. There is a little locking ring.you can feel it on both.

I just got them at my local feed/hardware store. I am not sure the size I just got the one that fit best since mine were rotten and cracked
