Very Nice explanation !! , currently having a Brand New “ unused “ Complete reverse kit from a ‘02 Viper I found , & having it installed into My 2002 SRX 700 with a new 1.25” track ...., Wanted to understand how this worked ..., some differences I know between the years of sleds etc.... , however close enough to give me a very good understanding now... , Thanks !!

Thanks You BRo! 2021, i hade rx-1 mtx 3 days ago, when i click reverse, transmission sound is kkkkkhhhhhh khhhhh on 3-4 rpm, but bike drive reverse.... your video is god help to me!

great video. nice job explaining the rx1 gearbox. is it true the yamaha rx-1 sled when it first came out needed a gear reduction between the crankshaft and primary clutch (in forward mode) to handle the rpm of the yamaha 1000 motor because no sled clutches available at the time could handle the rpm??

My gear selector linkage is wrong adjusted and sometimes I have grinding sound when in reverse. Is it enough to re-adjust the linkage or do I have to inspect the gears for damage?

I still can’t put the chaincase cover on and have it engage that outer pulley
