I had bought it from a shop in the electronic market of Delhi called Lajpat Rai Market in Chandni chowk. Don't remember the exact specs but we had matched the output voltage of the previous supply just changed the input voltage from 110v to 220v.
Good question. I was using a step down transformer but it has 2 challenges. One need to turn it on and off everytime after use and two it has a hissing sound.. quite low but its there when the subwoofer is ON
@@wongalex7123 Most likely the 2 big capacitors need to be replaced. You could see the value on it. As long as the stated value is the same as the new ones, then no problem. Eg. 4700uf, 25V. Can go higher but not lower.
What is the rating for the transformer? I have the similar subwoofer SW012 8" inch (US- using in India) and don't know what rating transformer I need. 12-0-12 or 15-0-15?
I got this one sometime back, I guess around 2013 and got it in flight as checked in baggage. They let you take it what you might want to check is the custom policy at the destination country.
@@durbandadagaming7774 usually size is an issue at check in stage. If you have baggage limit it shouldn't be a problem. For details you can check with the airlines helpline. The bigger cost inflator would be the customs at destination airport. They have a certain amount for electronics which is exempted after which electronics attracts quite a heavy duty. So you would want to do that cost benifita analysis before.
Check 3.29 there is a transformer with a code X8.. That is the step down transformer with 110v input and we need to change it to 220v input. Update: Couldn't find the 220V supply so have to live with the step down for now.
