A friend of mine let me take a spin on his Yamaha Super Ténéré 1200. I had no time on this bike before, so this was a first ride. I was quite impressed to say the least. #advrider #dualsport #motorcycles
The Super Tenere is a bang for your buck motorcycle. I have a 2020. If you stay up on the maintenance they are bulletproof. One thing to keep in mind. They are a road bike. Concrete, asphalt, dirt, or gravel it doesn’t matter the type of road, but they are not a trail bike. If you want to ride trails buy a dirt bike.
It will handle a lot more than you think it can. The trick is to keep it moving forward. I've had mine on some single-track, but I wouldn't make a habit of it.
it is more reliable than the bmw R 1250 gs adventure? @@Chance-ry1hq I'm aiming to a bulletproof engine just like you said, want to know if this one can be...
Best review of the S10 I have ever seen yet. Tricking the ABS like that is new to me. S10 owners I know love their bikes. Cruise control, heated grips, ES (now standard on the 2024), ABS, traction control, 6 gal fuel tank, cornering on the slab, touring comfort, shaft drive!, balance, stability, reliability, cost efficiency, Japanese quality, off roading (better than non-owners say)...this is a true hidden gem of big bore ADV.
Just for reference, do not use the ABS trick on GEN 2 (older than 2014) because it will cause faults in the computer and you will need to take it to the dealer.
The firing order is 270° actually, meaning same sound than à L twin like Ducati. Got one in France, the S12 is a very good daily able to travel far, effortless with a very good reliability (especially on high mileage). Liiiiitle bit heavy, 50 pounds in excess maybe. Enjoy, Nice vidéo.😅
I have a 2013 just like the one in the video and it’s phenomenal. Easy to work on, easy to ride, and comfortable in very happy with it you can find these used and get a steal of a bike that’ll last for a very long time
My 2010 model ABS failed... rear brake stopped working. Probably caused by me not riding the bike for a couple of years. Simple work around was to bolt off the rear outlet on the ABS unit, and have a custom brake line made for the rear caliper to the master cylinder. Brakes all work well now. Overall a magic bike! They're heavy when you drop them, but once she's rollin the big Betsy doesnt feel heavy - low centre of gravity makes them handle nicely on the bitumen too. Thanks for great review
I lowered my S10 because they are still tall. I used a lowering link and slide fork tubes 20mm through clamp up front. I had my 2013 since Jan 2014. His gas mileage is not accurate. Bike gets about 42 to 44 miles per gallon
if i ever change my 02 fjr this would be a option because its yamaha shaft drive or maybe a tracer 900 but dont like chain drive but the fjr is a rocket and superb ride
