The Acerbis tank looks like a very good solution. Lighter weight, roughly the same external dimensions as the factory unit, and substantially more capacity. Cheers
I installed this yesterday, filled the Acerbis and rode around just a little bit. I am noticing some condensation building on the outsides of the bank - it's vapor and smells of gas. I can't find other people saying this same thing. Is this normal?
indien ik het goed voor heb zou hij dan volgetankt slechts 4.5kg zwaarder zijn. Zit uiteraard hoog, maar ik heb mij ook nooit bedenkingen gemaakt aangaande mijn tanktas...🙄 en benzinestations bevinden zich meestal niet op het onverhard. Ik denk erover de installatie te doen. Wordt staande positie erdoor bemoeilijkt ?
Good job. Now a test ride with full tank to evaluate how the top heaviness feels due to the extra fuel. This is issue with Safari Tank if it is full. Use it when you need it. Fuel guage, how accurate is it now, how does it indicate the usage of fuel? Also how well does a tank bag fit? The Acerbis seems to be much the same couture as the OEM tank. Looks great.
@@OumboukTravelAdventures I saw where the Giant Loop tank bag has the front recessed to go over the fuel cap which doesn't pinch down the vent hose. Good setup looks like to me. Much simpler and lighter than the twin tank setup of the new model Raid edition. That setup looks good as it sits lower however the whole setup adds over 15 kg of weight and will require a larger (heavier) protection rack. Safe rides.
