Using the MIDI Out function, if you have an 88 keyboard, you can play Tyros on your keyboard! So then if you have for instance an Yamaha CVP or something like that with more keys, you can control Tyros with both its keys or your keys! Or simply better we hope Yamaha will make an 88 keys version!
This has got to be one of the best demos of any product I've ever seen. Not the Tyros is the Best product ever, But this demo definetly makes it look powerfull! I'd like to see more product demos with this level or quality.
I just got mine. I'm having to program my mind what to do. So I'm exploring what the buttons will do. These tutorials are extremely helpful. You basically can't sound bad on this keyboard. I use ezplay because I learned keys later in life. It helps me. Please keep making the tutorials....Thanks..

Well, this can make Tyros one of the best keyboards (or in this case an arranger workstation) ever! I owned a Tyros and it has incorporated may features of other keyboards, like a synth software, the sequencer and parameters of synths. So that means Tyros is not limited to only an arranger: is also a synth and my favourite a MIDI Controller! It can work with softwares on computer!
All of this tutorials are helpful. And if you combine what you know with what you can do with Tyros 4, i can asure you it sounds more than marvelous. And i guess you watched the entire demo to get convinced of that. But how do you got yours as a "floor" model and "saved a lot"? I'm planning to get one after i get enough money, but now you have my attention about it.
@quiznilo Schlager music (German: Schlager, loosely translated as "a hit") is a style of popular music prevalent in Central and Northern Europe and the Balkans (in particular Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, Flanders, Slovenia, Serbia, Croatia, Switzerland, Scandinavia and the Baltic States) and also (to a lesser extent) in France and Poland. Last summer I did consider the Tyros 4, I also considered the Yamaha PSR-SX700 as that also has really good sound for a mid range keyboard. But Last October I was finally set to buy the Tyros 5 as it has 76 keys as well as many sounds that are an improvement but for a number of reasons I didn't buy one in the end partly because I resigned but also Tyros is an arranger and it's more intended for live performances with the auto accompaniments rather than being used as a workstation ( although it certainly can be used as a workstation ). Also it has a number of sounds that use the same samples from Motif and I already have those sort fo sounds in Halion ( especially sounds like saxophones, drums and synth pads ). If I had known I wasn't going to get the Tyros 5 I would have jumped at the chance to own a black Tyros 4 , as these keyboards are now discontinued they are becoming increasingly harder to come by. Maybe in the future I might reconsider the Yamaha PSR-SX700 if I still wanted an arranger keyboard or maybe in 2027 I might go big and buy a Genos as the quality of nearly all the sounds in Genos are an improvement plus you also get all the Tyros series sounds in the Legacy catagory.
This is what i'm trying to explain to everyone. Yamaha is extremely efficient, but the haters are hatin' cuz of the review. They not just dont know how to use an instrument at its full capacity, but also they seem that are judging an instrument only after the review. I currently own a PSR 3000 (crap compared to any Tyros) but i did so many unimaginable things with it, from high-quality rock songs, to a synthesizer's sound effects, all in the highes quality, so then the 3000 would be like Motif!!
An excellent demo to show the versatility of the Tyros for all music...but schlager is a crime against humanity! If schlager music had been put on the gold disks on the Voyager 1 and 2 space-probes, enraged aliens would be coming right now in their Death Stars to obliterate the Earth...

@MJimitator That's one thing I also dislike about the tyros series (or yamaha europe's focus in general), the constant focus on the German consumer. Besides that, the styles showed are often made for only old songs. I've never seen a demo with a hit of this or last year for example (or one of the last 5 years (just to make it easier)).

Can someone explain to me why Tyros 3 price went up like $1000 when Tyros 4 came out??? I remember GuitarCenter listed T3 for $3800.. now it's $4999. Almost same price as T4...
The price reveals the true capacity of the instrument! Why do you think Korg and other crap keyboards cost much less that Tyros? They dont have many of the Tyros's functions! Tyros isn't limited to a simple arranger, but its also a very powerful synthesizer just like Motif's and it voices sounds much much more realistic, professional and quality than any other keyboard! Technologies like SuperArticulation, MegaVoice, Live, Sweet, Cool and other will blow away all the instruments it replicates!
I admire his talent but I wanted to hear sounds from songs we all know and love. I realise this is a demo to show off all the samples from the Tyros 4 but still.......
