I only did this for a day. I installed Cobra Dragsters on it later in the day. I also installed an Fi-2000 on it, which got rid of any back-firing.

Can the engine be damaged if I go without a muffler?

Only if you dump the clutch got to kind of feather it I’ve noticed though that the engine is not as hot after riding
