In this video I am showing you how to do transmission oil change on Yamaha Zuma 125.

I use the 60ml syringe to put oil in, it's way better than using the funnel!

welcome! that day when I changed the oil, I just realized that my torque wrench is 1/4 drive and I don't have the 1/4 12mm socket while making the video. so I tighted it firm without overtight... after done with this maintenance, I went to Sears and bought Adapter so I can put 3/8 on adapter to put on 1/4 wrench and tight it correct.

@foxybarker Remove the air box. Loosen the hose clamp holding the carburator. Lean the bike to the side to keep the carb cleaner from winding up on the deck. spray liberably on the OUTside of the carb. Spray a little into the carb, follow with WD40. Remove the bowl. Clean the bowl out with carb cleaner, spray up into the jet area, then follow with WD40, just a little. Replace bowl with new gasket. Reassemble.

@micbergsma cont..until all is clear, bung up the air intake end of the carb with a soft microfibre cloth, poor half of the seafoam you have left from the can(not the mixture you made) into the carb. wait for a bit let it run into the bowl and engine/valves. put the slide back in making sure it seats properly and tighten down with care, nice and even. 5 minutes later. remove the cloth and keep starting the engine openin back and forth the throttle/ it will be a little hard to start for a while..

@foxybarker .. once it fires up, you will get all kinds of shit bellowing out the pipe, keep reving it out let it settle...the bike is going to smoke like this for a while, dont worry, its the seafoam and the shit comming off your valve intakes and cylinder. now whilst reving back the throttle (through all ratio's, needle to main jet)- spray in you mixture through the air intake of the carb, this will be drawn through the venturi and the jets as vapor, do it 5 times in intervals...

@foxybarker even easyer way and this is a good way to remove the airbox, buy a tin of seafoam for 10 bucks, get your self a plant sprayer from walmart with a fine spray on it, poor half a tin of seafoam in and about half ounce of fuel. shake up. unscrew the top of your carb remove the flange and do not get petrol or carb cleaner on it(it will expand and u will not get it back in for a while) clean the needle only, put to one side, using carb cleaner spray the inside of the carb..cont

@foxybarker now run your engine for a while till you getting just a hint of white smoke from the pipe but the engine is running clear/ turn off. cool down// now change the engine oil and the plug?(u got seafoam in the engine and you just dragged a bunch of shit all over the old plug) seafoam is crank case safe and cleans parts, its good stuff. but in moderation. You just cleaned your entire intake/valve/carb and engine/oil change and plug for less than 20 bucks. feel the differance now.

Does all these 3 oils have almost same viscosities and can be interchangeable as a gear oil in transmission of 110cc gearless scooters. SAE 10W30 engine oil , API GL-4 SAE 80W-90 gear oil and GL-4 SAE 90 grade gear oil.

does the bottle of 85w-140 have to say "motorcycle" on the label? i was told to only use 85w-140 that is specifically made for motorcycles. If its "limited slip" would it have a negative effect on the scooter?

It really depends on the weather of where you live. During winter, I use 10w-30 because its cold. During summer I used the factory recommended, 20w-40 because its hot. When it doubt consult your manual. You need oil that will flow and lube the gears properly. A thin oil has a lower number and flows more easily, while thick oils have a higher number and are more resistant to flow. I think 85w-140 is way too much for a scooter but it depends on what the factory says.
