English comment here. I got the same bike. Power band is at about 6500 rpm. Change gears there and you’ll have better acceleration and you’ll save your engine ;)
artisteric is it normal for the bike to stall out when you take off in 1st and the rpms are under 1300 seems like every other bike I’ve had you didn’t have to give it gas to take off you could just ease off the clutch and it would roll
This scares me to watch the needle in the redline so much like it’s a cruiser not a sport bike they really don’t like that much abuse, the vibrations at higher rpms on this bikes are crazy
This is what scares you? A bike you don't own being ridden hard? That scares you because it's bad for the bike? Leave it to the owner and ride your bike how you'd like....
@@jamesr.waltonjr.457 I do have a virago mines an 1100 and I ride it hard up to redline. I’m just saying eventually you’re asking for trouble if you constantly push it past the redline
Nice 750 Virago. Never saw those here in America? Just the 250 V Star I have, 650, 1100, 1300, etc. But not these? I'd love to get one with that cool 2-tone paint like the Harley's of the 50's here.
Yes but the V star 650 gets its maximum torque from the very beginning at around 1500-2000 rpm. The Virago 750 gets its maximum torque at around 7000rpm. While both V-Twin the Virago has a sportier tuned engine compared to the V-star.
I have the 750 , but haven’t tried it in the red , but what is the speed in mph , I have only got up to 88 as I don’t think you should go in the red like that , I have the 535 as well & it’s started to rattle a bit , but then there’s no Reve counter on it , sow I think it’s just as fast as the 750 .
I have a 94 yami virago 750and I can get her to 90mph without letting loose on it. I'd say it will go 120 but I've never had balls enough to try it. Routinely travel at 90 though, no problem.
