I can't stand how honda motors sound, first time I heard one I thought it was a sick bike. Lol. YAMAHA for life.

Hi. I got one 1989. Totally restaured. The xt350 was selling from 1985 until 2000, but that depends of the country. All xt350 the rear brake are with drum. Disk at front and drum at rear. It's possible put disk at rear but for that you need the swing arm of the xt600, solding a peace from the xt600 chassi and a wheel from xt600. Take care.
Japan build quality is beyond anywhere else. Its why my bikes are made by Yamaha and Honda. Our Subaru Forester and Toyota 4Runner are both made in Japan.
@@BraapEffex I’m diggin the bike. I love the old school analog gauges and can’t believe it comes with an actual tach, for that year. Awesome bike brother!!
For Mr Average this and the DR350 is the perfect trade off between power/ weight/price and a great as jack of all trades. Bloody expensive 2nd hand for that very reason.
I have a 1996 Yamaha XT 350 bought it in 2003 I love that machine never been wrecked also I do have the air intake shields on the side of the tank also I have the seat strap mine is blue and white also I bought a luggage rack from "manracks" for it I carry 1 extra gallon of fuel ( with the rack I can also keep my tool bag. My XT has always been cold blooded I been told a cold blooded motor is a long serving motor.
I have an '86 TT350 that I salvaged. Basically the same power train but different suspension and of course not street legal. Bottom end was fine but top end was trashed. Fortunately valves were ok. Carb was a bit funky to set up but once done works great. You can really feel it when the secondary carb kicks in. The thing is a beast. Still looking for one of the side plastics for the tank though. And yep, it starts 2-3 kicks every time.
I just got a bike like that it might be a year or two older but I definitely got to get it running the guy said it did run before but it smoked. The only thing I did was pull it off the trailer and just washed it up real good and found out that there is something wrong with the clutches or something because the clutch since it' doesn't work at all it's stuck in gear. I think it'll be fun to work on the thing. Watching your video now it makes me want to get mine going but it still needs a lot of work especially tires since both tires are flat and dry rotted but for the most part everything is there except one piece of plastic.
Beautiful Yamaha there and I used to have an XT250 so Loved doing riverbed trails on it and so easy to kick start but am now looking at possibly buying one of these so how easy are these to kick start? Do they have much more compression with kick starting? 💖
They are war horses 🐎 and are bullet proof and if well take care of will last many many years i have the 89 xt 600 power house of a bike like my dad used to say I wouldn't trade it for a farm in Georgia
