Mine was pretty rotten at the back and more or less fell apart! I used lots of WD40 and a ring spanner, it took a while but patience paid off. If I remember right the rear pipe is in two pieces, on one of mine I left the short piece on as some aftermarket systems connect to that one.
AlienFing that’s right. I spent ages trying to tighten it up then realised that you need to take the part of the cylinder head as well 🙄 I thought I would have realised that. I’m officially old after that lol 😊
Gary Constant I know how you feel lol. I’ve done a few now but it doesn’t get any easier! I’m now sticking with just my ‘94 Triumph Trident 750, another pain to work with but worth it.
AlienFing yeah we have to do something otherwise we’d get bored. I always moan and say I’m done and no more but I still carry on. My son,parents and mrs just don’t take any notice and just humour me I think 😂
I didn't need to, I had just rebuilt my carbs and factory settings worked perfect. If you are having issues it may benefit being slightly richer mixture.
