Hello, this is a badly edited video of the restoration of my little Yamaha YSR 80.
Completed between March and august of 2021.
More videos to come of my Suzuki GP100 and Suzuki SG350 goose that me and my dad have also restored. Maybe others as well.
Thanks for watching.
Connor.

He sees things differently now. It doesn’t matter how bad something looks. With a bit of work, anything can be brought back to new. He doesn’t restore bikes for resale or profit. He keeps them for himself because he loves them. His collection is small but all his bikes are significantly special in their own way.

We always use Halfords aerosols. It’s a bit more expensive but it’s top quality and the clear coat lacquer is as good as any automotive paint I’ve ever used. We painted the panels black, when the paint dries we add the decals, paint over the decals with the top coat and then carefully peel the decal off. Same with the stripes. We used 3mm fine-liner. Once it’s all done we bury everything with lacquer. Hope this helps and good luck.

Yes. We got the bike from Chesterfield. At the time it was the only one for sale in the UK. Unbelievably, although it was rough, it ran and everything was there apart from the screen which we later found out was probably the only thing available for it. We restored it over the summer of 2021 in the back garden.

Yes from Nottingham and still got it. It’s not going anywhere. Would be virtually impossible to replace it.

We’ve got to do a little repair as soon as the weather picks up because it blew over in the wind we had a couple of months ago. The seat pod hit the floor and cracked but it’s not a problem. Should be easy enough as long as we can remember the shade of yellow and white we used.
