Remember Practice makes perfect, also turn your rear shock up a few clicks. And if you want to get better control of the bike. Practice your balance. Get a 2 by 8 by 10 or longer. And try to drive down the board without falling off. Then go down to a 2 by 4 by 10. I started out using a 2 by 12 and 50-50 I'd fall off, I practiced for maybe a few hours until I could go all the way down the board without falling off the board. A few weeks later I could drive down a 2 by 4 but would fail half the time. Today (5 years later) I race Supercross. Practice makes perfect, and keep going.
I’m sure you won’t reply back because it’s bean so long since you uploaded this, but what handlebars are you using on your bike? I know you have a rental pad on it but I just wanted to make sure because I’m gonna get one soon and I like the way it looks.
I forgot to answer your question by the way. When I bought the bike it was just stock Yamaha bars so then about a month later I got Renthal bars and even the bar grips are blue. It does look pretty cool thank you! 😊
I just bought a 06 yz250f motor im putting into a 01 yz250f, I noticed your place to put gas is different, in your new bike do they still put the oil in the frame of is it in the bottom of the motor like the other types of bikes?
@@SDrizzy Thanks a lot mate. I picked this 1 because in the past I rode Kawasaki, Suzuki and KTM and some of my friends ride and they have those sort of bikes so I thought I could give Yamaha a try and it goes amazing!
Hey mate! Yes these things are amazing especially brand new! I just turned 16 a month ago and I'm 5ft 10 I was way smaller than this when I got the bike so no stress and also you can just lower the suspension for your height! It'll be easy enough
@@HamiltonTaylor well currently I’m round 5ft 6 but I can stand up on my dads 450, with heightened suspension on one foot so I think a 250 will be pretty good! Thanks
@@kiansandersonmtb9727 I’ve been riding a 150 for a few weeks now. Can’t really do wheelies on it but when I hopped on my brothers 450 my wheelies were pretty good lol.
Pretty nice bike once I have my 150 yz 2 stroke for a bit longer and go to the track a few times I’m gonna see what a 4 stroke is like I’ve only ever had 2 strokes
I see a lot of comments here but not tryna be a downer but I do not recommend this bike if u do not know how to ride cause a yz 250f could kill y’all don’t underestimate it!!
I mean thank you for being honest with me. But I've been riding since I was 7 and I do get real good speed and hit jumps at a motocross track. I think I'll be okay riding
He was about 5’8 in the video so I think you should be good. But if your looking for a 2 stroke then a yz125 would be good. But a yz250f would be good as a four stroke
How tall are you? I feel like the yz250f I just bought is way taller than most maybe cause it has after market suspension but im having a hard time touching the ground and getting leverage so I can start without elevated ground
I had a hard time touching the floor at first but I got used to it. It was very heavy as well that I would just drop the bike. People have said you can adjust the suspension to your height and you should be fine
@@HamiltonTaylor yeah I might take it to a suspension shop just to lower the sag a bit or even maybe throw a lowering link on it, I just dont want them to be like well the best thing you should do is put spacers and all this expensive stuff that I just don't want to do
im almost 14 and im trying to save up to get a big bike. my dad is into sportbike and does track days. he got me a 1986 pw50 when i was 4. ive been riding since but only o chinese pitbikes. i have a good amount of land for a big bike. i am a pretty confident rider. i am able to control alot of power and i am realy good at shifting. do you think a 2004 yz250f would work for me. im way to fast for my 140cc ptibike i cant even ride it on my track becasue im always shifting and in high gears but it just doesnt have the power at the bottom end. im 6ft and 5 inch.
@@jack_wright_1685 well I'm not sure about that but people have said that you can adjust the suspension to lower or higher your bike otherwise you can go whatever you're comfortable with
I’m 5’5 180lbs 13 years old and want to get a 250. I have plenty of experience with dirt bikes. I have a 85 right now. Do you think a 250 is to big for me?
Hello, idk if you'll still reply to this but I wanna get into dirt bike riding and I don't know whether to get a 125 2 stroke or 250 4 stroke, please give me your advice.
Hey man I got this bike when I was 13 turning 14. I was approximately 5 ft 7 and the bike was a bit heavy and tall for me so that's why every now then I dropped it softly but you get really used to it a start riding it like a champ 👍🏻
This one is a 2019 model. I don't know all about the ones today but it had a 5 valve, a DOHC four-stroke engine and initially had a steel frame and an aluminum subframe which was replaced in 2006 with an aluminum frame.
Hey mate! This bike I have is a 4 stroke. The difference to the 4 stroke and 2 stroke is that on a four stroke it's just a plane looking engine and is not much high rpm. The 2 stroke has a smaller engine with a massive oil or fuel pipe going across and around the side of the bike and the rpm is a lot louder and sort of irritating. You should google it!
@@HamiltonTaylor A four stroke as four cycles of the piston and uses valves in the head to ,a two stroke has 2 cycles and is a much simpler engine that also needs 2 stoke oil mixed with gasoline to run and has ports in the cylinder instead of valves,The big fat thing is called an EXPANSION CHAMBER/It's a type of exhaust for 2 stroke engine's.
otherwise people in the comment section have said that you can adjust the suspension to make your bike bigger or smaller! Depends what you're comfortable with
I'm 16 and thinking of getting this it's on Facebook for two grand is this a good starter bike? I've ridden a dirt bike before I can drive a manual car. Is this a good bike for me?
I wouldn't recommend a race bike as beginners. I've seen some beginners on powerful ones fly off. Try a TTR, CRF F or L. Just something that goes fast but not full on power
@@mahangaberryman6763 If you want just a regular fun bike to ride. I would go for TTR if you like Yamaha. If you want to go flying with speed I would do either a WR for quick speed but not as responsive. A Yz like mine if you want to flog as hard as you could.
@@lucasb.3479 Well there is something you can do I haven't done it before so I can't tell you how to do it. But adjust the suspension lower for your height
@@c2protect I'm not guessing anything you guys are trying to buy a good bike to rip around on and other people are saying you can adjust the suspension and stuff like that
He looks so uncomfortable on the bike like hes scared of it need to top her out once you do that your never scared of it cause you know what its got i topped out my 450 and now i handle that thing like its nothing
