He is not the most popular character in the game, but still, Yamcha has some pretty impressive advantages. ApologyMan explains different aspects of playing this DBFZ character, such as Yamcha’s best options for the neutral game and his best Specials. The video guide contains examples of mid-screen and corner combos with important details on how to actually perform them. It’s great to have such a review of the strengths and weaknesses of this Dragon Ball FighterZ character. Maybe, you will be convinced to give Yamcha a shot for your team.
my Yamcha is my only OG character still on my team since i started in season 2. it is true, his weaknesses are glaring but if you have above avg , more like advance neutral to make up for it, he is slept on. He has a lot of secret tech that even apology man didn't mention , there are some sneaky things such as frame traps set ups with spirit ball , same side cross ups after the teleport with medium WFF, no spark needed. He struggles against zoners often but he is one of the few non fusion meta characters who can punish fusions for sloppy play with ex WFF. I luv him he is one of my fav characters since i was a kid, i would never drop him.
this character is garbo man. I really wish he wasnt hes so fun to play but if youre up against anybody who knows what theyre doing or playing meta characters which is like everyone then youre FUCKED. Honestly fuck the devs for what they did to this game, pretty much everyone unanimously agrees this is the worst state the game has ever been in and yet they ignore their player base like the giant cock suckers they are
@@BIGSexy484 if you don't like working twice as hard to get half the result, then sure he is. But I beat a lot of great players because he has hidden strengths not a lot of people can handle it, even with meta shit.
You got any videos of you doin some of this tech? That sounds like it'd be really fun to watch yamcha fuck up some top tiers. I miss yamcha always being OD in games lol
@@sergiok6660 no, i dont stream or record, i'm an above average casual who plays for fun. if you play yamcha practice spirit ball paths to get a sliding knock down and then do Medium WFF to do a same side crossup with the vanish to mix up, or delay to actually cross up on the vanish, you have to be precise with the timing. the frame traps just come from me playing the same character for 4 years. It be too long to type it out vs just recording it and i'm too lazy for that.
you have to rely on other things to start, if you just rely on that its super easy to mash on but if you make them respect your offense with pressure it'll work
My team is Android 18 A, Krillin A & Yamcha A And yamcha’s assist has helped my team so much I’ll literally never drop yamcha And I think he’s very underrated this season, like people got tired of him when the game came out cuz other characters came out but he’s still super solid. Very viable. Crossup j2H is a slept on move. Once you have the opponent respecting your left/right mixups, you can start bringing in his 2M and go for big damage.
Much appreciated! Recently started playing Yamcha and he's been a blast; as someone who plays a lot of Gotenks, his Gale Claw feels a bit similar to the dynamite kick so it just felt right. Your tip on his m wolf fang to ex cancel in particular is something I hadn't realized he could do. I'm excited to try it out in some matches. At any rate, thanks, cheers!
Just started playing the game finished the first arc of the story and he seems like one of the only comfy characters atm for me thanks to this vid i now understand why sonetimes he does that weird thing (H cancels) and they seem like theyre gonna be op in the Gogeta ssj4 challenge that just started today! Thx a lot
I invented an short combo called "code: Y.A.M.C.H.A" And it may be not strong, but it is very easy to land and it doesnt need energy and i can solo 1v3 with yamcha
