Yeah i liked that too. Yami was still very much clearly superior to Asta in power and combat experience cuz he was holding his own better by making less mistakes. I like that they didnt make Asta outshine Yami or like totally and unrealistically competent against Dante just by being the MC even after powering up cuz Dante was nearly killing Yami in 1v1. Both got their shining moments in this fight and even Dante was cool if im being honest. It wasnt like a totally one-sided or easy fight for either side. Srsly tho they've grown so much and are such a good duo here. Yami seeing him as an equal and using his name multiple times is great, not to mention how wholesome and supportive of each other they are. So nice that they encourage each other in this fight and motivate each other to fight harder.

This is why I think this is one of the best animes out right now. And it's my favorite one. One of the things I can't stand in anime is characters powering up through the power of friendship and just clapping the main villain. (Naruto and AOT are example of what I don't like because of this) In black clover, Asta and others struggle in their fights. I love how in these fights, you actually feel like the good guys are going to lose (despite them obviously going to be able to win) and that's story telling done well. The villains are so entertaining. They're well done and aren't super annoying. They're ridiculous.

I haven't watch AOT in for ever, so maybe it's changed, but I could no tolerate for example how easily Erin(or whoever tf) would clap titans so easily despite his tiny size. Like it wasn't done right imo. I think the anime is super overhyped. That being said, if you like the anime, all the ode to you.

It makes a lot of sense: Asta mainly learns techniques by observing others. He did so when learning from Fanzell, when fighting Kiato, when fighting alongside Licht, etc.

@@x-int2822 this is the same studio that did Bleach. Theres no excuse for such a massive dip in overall quality of the show. In my humble opinion I think they didn't realize what a gold mine they was sitting under. (My hope for the "Big Announcement" is a Seasonal Reboot/New Studio + reboot lol)

@@draz8302 Not about the budget the problemed stemmed from it turning into a long runner after the initial 12 episode deadline which the small staff it had wasnt prepared for. Pierrot pretty much neglected the series(no its not because of boruto, even boruto has its problems with a bigger staff). Black Clover really just suffers from lack of time/scheduling and most episodes are outsourced to other smaller studios just like boruto aswell. Even with a bigger staff BC will still have he same inconsistencies. Look at naruto shippudden it had better treatment than BC and it looked bad most of the time.
