One funny thing about YanDev that I remember from the early days was that he used to pronounce Yandere wrong. He would pronounce it ‘yandereee’. Even I as an 11-12 year old knew that wasn’t how you pronounced it. If you’re gonna make a game after a super specific anime trope, you should at least be able to pronounce it. Was kind of a forecast on the rest of his development process.

If I were developing a game called Yandere Simulator I would just accept that I could never talk to an underage girl in my life, ever. Not even family members. I'd find the location of every school in my vicinity and make sure there was never a chance to be photographed anywhere near one. It's just common sense.
